The right combo for a Visual-Spatial Learner and Visionboard Goal Setter

The main reason I found this app was for a habit streak tracker. But I’m so glad I found an app as functional and well-displayed as this one. I very much enjoy the view and interface of the main daily page. I also love being able to add photos and daily goals on top of habit tracking. I use the Apple heal to connect how many hours of sleep I got. It’s truly a nicely functional command center for a visual spatial person like myself, while being not too busy and not to overwhelming because you only see the parts you use. I love it.

Beats Structured, TickTick, Things 3, and all other planner apps

A firm believer in this app and its potential with future updates. The design language is clean, analog-almost, and feels like a digital extension of a physical planner, with the peace of mind of digital remembrance and continuity between your Apple devices.

The two-way seamless sync between this app and the native iOS Calendar and Reminders apps is a game changer. After taking a day to learn it, the investment in finding out about its workings and quirks makes daily planning so much more delightful as your time spent in the day becomes more meaningful. This app is going to change the way people value their time and how they plan their lives. Absolutely love it!

The best I tried in 10 years

If you have not tried it yet , get ready for a surprise. Finalist is the best available iOS iPadOS, and macOS task, an event manager in the App Store. The iPad version especially shines with a fantastic yearly planner (yes finally!) synced with a left panel with quick scrolling into the details of the days. Visual interface is a delight.

Best planned app out there

LOVE this app. By far the best planned app I’ve used. Everything all in one, looks appealing, love it!

I downloaded the app today and installed it. I have a big trip in August on the calendar but finalist doesn’t seem to see it. Also I can’t find an email address for te
Update I found it. And I updated the stars

But a support email would be helpful

Awesome Daily planner

This app has made organizing my day effortless. The interface is clean and intuitive, so adding tasks, setting reminders, and checking my day at a glance are stress-free. Now, I don’t feel overwhelmed with what to do and I can put my plans into perspective. Aside from that, the developer is responsive, so if any issues arise, just send a message and the dev will surely look into it. Worth to download and support!

Why doesn’t mobile and desktop sync?

I love this app and just bought the lifetime license. However I am very confused as to why my tasks and planner do not sync between my iphone and my Apple laptop. Can someone help me?

Epic organiser for your life !

Finalist is a brilliant app for getting yourself organised! With a very responsive developer, and gorgeous UI - finalist is jam packed with features to keep your personal and work lives organised. I thoroughly recommend this.

Best in Class Daily Planner!

I’ve explored quite a few calendar and planner apps, especially those with a classic calendar look. Lately, I’ve been drawn to agenda-style planners, so I was thrilled to check out Finalist. After a couple months of use it’s become my go to app. I can confidently say Finalist strikes the perfect balance. It’s an amazing app that offers a lot of flexibility to suit different needs.

Finalist draws inspiration from traditional paper planners and really embraces the Day Planner feel. Its standout feature is the Daily tab, which organizes all your calendar events and tasks. You can customize it to only show the information that matters most to you. The design is incredibly detailed, with great typography and color choices that help draw attention to the important stuff.

Plus, Finalist works well with Apple’s Reminders in addition to its own tasks function. Between the two, I’ve been able to manage my to-do list very well.

Finalist is so beautiful and thoughtfully designed that it makes me want to use it. It’s simplified my planning and made it easier to manage my day and get things done. Highly recommended!

After using it for 949 days I no longer recommend Finalist.

They’re demanding an additional payment of $59.99. Deleting today.

Finally found my digital planner!

I have always struggled between using digital tools (which my ADHD brain doesn’t trust), and analog planners (which my ADHD brain misplaces), but now I’ve found the solution - Finalist! It puts all of my thoughts in a single day, whether they be work appointments or personal tasks or intentions or just simple “lines in the sand”. I completely trust the app to sync between platforms, as well as keep everything I need for a day right in front of me, while not overwhelming by me with info I don’t need.

Fail

Thought I was getting the full subscription for a month only to discover that it wasn’t the “Pro” plan. Same price though. So I don’t get full functionality even though I paid the same price?
Cancelled and deleted.

THE Finalist One

Finalist isn't merely a schedule organizer, habit tracker, journal, calendar, appointment tracker/reminder, or note-taking app…It is THE most amazing, oft updated/improved, and most helpful app I’ve ever had the pleasure to own!

If you are drawn to passionate developers who’re more interested in giving the world consistently awesome apps rather than seeing how many in-app-purchases they can squeeze out of vulnerable customers, then THIS app should be your FINALIST!

ADHD life saver

I have tried them all. Truly. Spent gobs of money on both lifetime and monthly subscriptions on all of the heavy hitters. But THIS ONE works with my brain and just plain works. Can’t say enough good things about this small but mighty app.

Terrific combo of apps!

Been looking for something like this for years. Nicely designed, super convenient. Tasks, reminders, events, journal. Quick notes…etc, all in one place. Excellent & thx to the developer :)

Finally something that works!

This app has helped me so much in the past month of using it — and during a very devastating time in my life, where stress, fear, grief, and anxiety have stirred up extra with my ADHD. It has helped keeping up with my to do list, makes it easy to move unfinished tasks to the next day without making me feel guilty, and gives me a space to do some short journaling during the day. The free version is all I need, but I like the app so much I bought the lifetime to support the developer.

Simplified app

Simply and yet so useful! Love the app and all that it accomplishes in a simple manner.

Pro subscription not working unless signed up to auto-renew! (UPDATED)

UPDATE 2026-01-08: Never mind, I was wrong about not being prompted for Pro updates despite paying. The problem persists.

UPDATE 2026-01-06: I opened the app a few times over the past few days— today I found that the behavior I’d originally described (not recognizing my Pro subscription) was no longer occurring. I don’t have any idea what led to the change; it doesn’t seem like it was anything I did on my end. In any case, I’ve updated my review to 5 stars. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to really put it through its paces, but the app is clearly designed with an attention to detail and looks beautiful.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (1 star): When I cancel my auto-renewal in Apple’s settings, even though it shows I still have time left before the Pro subscription ends, the app doesn’t recognize it and still prompts me to sign up for Pro. I’m assuming this is merely a bug and not intentional (I’d guess it would be something that would get an app kicked off the App Store if it were intentional). I’ve never experienced this behavior with other apps so my assumption is that it’s a problem on this app’s end and not something on Apple’s end, but I suppose that could be mistaken. No matter the case, it needs to be addressed!

(I actually wound up paying for this app accidentally because of this behavior— I signed up for the trial, then canceled, then realized I couldn’t use the pro features despite having time left on my trial, so I signed back up for the trial, and of course forgot to cancel it in time and was charged for a year’s subscription. And now unless I maintain my subscription as auto-renewing in Apple Settngs, I can’t use the pro features!)

The app appears well designed otherwise and I’d still be open to trying it out (provided this app behavior was simply some sort of unintentional bug/mistake).

Just what I was looking for

This app has everything I want! I like that you can add notes in the habit tracker. I am not much of a journaler but I’ve actually been enjoying the quick journal feature.
