Too many ads

The latest update has put repetitive ads in between almost every memory, along with a prompt to “remove ads” (ie switch to a paid subscription). I have an 8 year streak going, but I’ve decided it’s not worth it to deal with so many ads. I’m deleting the app.

Fun memories every day

Enjoyed this app for 3 yrs. It’s hooked to my photos and FB and gives a quick review of several shots o and videos over the years every morning.

What happened?

I loved timehop. It was so nice being able to see my memories everyday. Over a 9 year streak here! Ever since they added the option for a subscription service everything has went downhill fast. I didn’t mind the ads sprinkled in, I just scrolled through them. Now there are so many ads that won’t let you swipe without playing the entire thing, and then the app freezes and I have to close it and reopen it only for the same thing to happen again! And what happened to the option to crop the photo into a square before sharing? Everything is just awful now since the update. I will not pay to look at my own photos. I used to look forward to my daily timehop, now it’s a chore just so I can keep my streak. Shame.
