very good

This app is very efficient; I can easily track my usage time daily, weekly, and monthly. I'm very satisfied with this app and highly recommend it.

Awesome app, use it every day

Beyond the functionality, the support actually responds if you have any questions, the app works great. And you see it’s being developed continuously, which makes it fun to keep using. Top!

The Best

Serves my purpose really well. I needed a clock that can run in dynamic island with seconds level precision while my notes remain open which house my workout plan.

Love it! Extremely helpful!

Very clean, straightforward app, with easy to use features.
I use it almost every day, & find it very helpful, even with only 3 (Free) categories! I believe PRO upgrade looks awesome, but seems a bit pricey & hasn’t been in my budget, so far.
My favorite features (all available in Free version):

• 1-click icons to start/stop timers from outside the app (SO handy!!❣️ Probably the only reason I use it consistently, compared to other apps)
• Options for easily adjusting time range by timestamps or total duration, after time/session/‘event’ is ended.
•Lets you track time in more than one category at once, for multitasking or when things overlap for part of the time.
•Option to note details/reminders/specifics/etc.
on each event/time logged, but not required!

Overall, just an extremely useful tool. It’s been a huge help in seeing where my time has gone, and what I should be spending more time on.
Love this app. 🙏🏻💗

Amazing app

The annual subscription is a modest fee and worth it! I used to have between 12-20 color-coded categories for years, but right now I’m on the free and only have 3 timelines. I find I don’t use it as much without the Pro version. As soon as I start working, I’ll be a happy subscriber/Pro user again! Thanks developer for this excellent, optimizing, life-hacking app!

Just the BEST!!!

I am an Independant Contractor and use this app to track my client hours. i loved that there is a free version to give you a taste for how easy to use the app is. I quickly realized it would pay for itself, so I opted for the paid version. It allows for varying degrees of tracking: a little tracking to more detailed, to allow me to accommodate accordingly to each customers’ billing needs. I really appreciate how accessible the developer/creator is to ideas and concepts.

Great to track work and personal time

I have been enjoying using this. I am a bit crazy when it came to time tracking. I used to have an alarm for every 15 minutes to track what I was doing. This categorizes it very well and makes it easy to track by task and subtask. Also allows you to set goals for day weeks and months.

Just What I Was Looking For!

Easy to use, versatile, colorful & all around awesome.

Great tracker

Much more inspiring to hit the timer button than review at the end of the day what you’ve done on other habit tracking apps. Changes the whole perspective of getting things done. Makes new habits much more fun.

Made for micro tracking

I’ve tried this app a couple of times and it just isn’t working for me. There does not seem to be any option to turn off the tracking by the second instead of only by minutes. Thus when I turned on Tracking to start a block of time and edited the start time to 8 AM, then stop the event at 11:30 AM, the app thinks that it was only one hour and 29 minutes. Not sure if the pro version is a little more intelligent than this, but the free version has unfortunately turned out to not be helpful for me. Maybe it will work well for you.

wonderful app

so much better than any other app that tries to do something similar

Amazing

Actively being developed, with a developer that listens to features. Bugs are nonexistent and it just works flawlessly. Give you a perfect picture on where your time is going or allows you to set times for anything and automatically tracks it in a bucket

Easy to Use and Helpful

Timelines is simpler than most other time trackers I have used. It encourages you to track instead of fiddle. It is easy to start and stop timers. Reports are simple but useful. Regular feature improvements without bloat.

Continuously improved and updated for almost 10 years

This app was pretty good to start with, but gets better and better every year. The updates are significant improvements in functionality, rather than token additions or minor bug fixes. The developer is always very responsive and open to new ideas.

The Only Habit I’ve ever Kept

Every other system I’ve built for myself, I’ve had to fight to keep alive. Timelines is the first system that’s so low friction (especially with the Apple Watch) that I’ve used it enough that it actually tells me the truth about my life, and forces me to come to terms with some of my worst habits (going to bed at 4am after internet use, avoiding hard work and socializing during times when I should be heads down). Every day I can look in the mirror and see where my time went, and while I’m not perfect yet, I’d be right back living in squalor if not for Timelines team building the best mirror into myself the world

Keeps me on track

I use Timelines every day. It helps me think about how I spend my time. I can change things to create better habits. I am creating a balance between efficiency with certain tasks, but allowing flexibility for things that require more thoughtful and deliberate attention. I am also using this Timelines app with other health related apps to make sure I alternate between sedentary and more physically active tasks.
Timelines is easy to use.

So easy to use!

An app like this, if it’s not easy, then using it becomes a chore. But this is SO easy, and provides helpful statistics in easy to read graphs (although pie charts aren’t useless for anything imo).

I added the list of job codes for my work, when I start one I simply tap it from the widget on my home screen and it starts the clock; if I forget to start or stop the timer, or change to a different job code, editing it is a breeze.

Then, at the end of the week I export to an Excel template where I have formulas to reformat the data so I can copypasta into my time card.

My only feedback would be to add more options for export formatting so I don’t need to use Excel to reformat to match my time card software’s formatting.

Struggling as a newbie

Not intuitive so far as a first time user

Great tool for time tracking

Easy to use

Loyalty means nothing, apparently.

I’ve been paying for this app for years because it did exactly what I needed. Today I opened it to log my walk and discovered a core feature I rely on (basic use of the app, really) is now locked behind a subscription that costs almost twice as much as what I’ve been paying.

No heads-up. No transition period. No grandfathering for long-time customers. Just “pay more or lose functionality.”

Companies have to raise prices sometimes— I get that. But nearly doubling the cost without warning (3.99/mo to 7.99/mo) and interrupting your customers’ day to pressure them into upgrading is a terrible way to treat the people who’ve supported your app for years.

I’ll be looking for another app. There are plenty of time trackers out there, and customer loyalty should count for something.
