The best

This game is so good so simple but dang the best game ever

I didn’t believe the reviews

But now I believe the reviews.. game is short and boring!! Save your money and buy a different game!! The character art is not included in game play, only minimalist pixel symbols that get old fast!

Great game with small flaws

School is fun however, a Level editor would definitely help. It would be more replayable. An online mode would be really cool.

Doesn’t work on iPhone 15

Won’t get past first screen

Good, but…

The maps sometimes trap my soldiers and I have to drown myself, or it’s made so that I can’t win. Maybe you should try making certain blocks (like water) not spawn in certain places? Thanks, good job!

Game doesn’t work

Can’t get past the first screen. Says swipe but nothing happens.

“Tiny Armies” is truly an exceptional game.

The essence of the idea of this videogame is that one commands a small, fictional, animated battalion, and that they are required to eliminate rival militaries with the goal of becoming the victor. This game is extremely strategic, though entertaining, and can become highly competitive while playing on cooperative mode. This is partially due to the various obstacles that are encountered throughout the gameplay which makes the player go through various series of troubles, struggles and dilemmas. For example, the infamous “sea” obstacle. This body of water will instantly eliminate your soldiers if they pass through it. This means that the player will have to make several important decisions. For example: whether to sacrifice a soldier into the accumulation of water in order to save your other soldiers, or to take the risk of an all-out-attack against the enemy. This is solely one out of numerous other things that make the game challenging. However, it is to be noted that there are multiple things that give one a certain advantage. A notable action calls for one soldier as a reinforcement on the battlefield, which can be incredibly useful to the battle - as a matter of fact, it is oftentimes a game changer. Therefore, one can clearly see the difficulties that emerge from the game. However at the end of the day, the victor of the conflict is not the player with the most or strongest soldiers, but in actuality, the battle is won by the best tactician with the most intelligent strategies. One noteworthy feature of this great videogame is the mode that supports cooperative gameplay. This feature allows the person who owns the game to play with a maximum of three other people, signifying that the game can be played by four people at once! This allows each player to imagine that their own friends are now their enemies in war! This has proven to increase competition between players. Additionally, in times of war, temporary or permanent alliances between the commanding generals of the armies may be desired, though, could be treacherously broken in an act of betrayal. This competitive, but dubious aspect of the game significantly increases the level of enjoyability and amusement that arises from the game. In conclusion, the masterpiece of a game, “Tiny Armies”, is a genuinely enjoyable, strategic and challenging game for everyone to play. This game is definitely one to recommend.

A suggestion for tiny armies:
A level up square (⬆️)
This square is the rarest square in the game.
This square will give whichever one pawn lands across it another life. So if it dies it becomes a normal pawn (like in checkers/draughts)
This can be turned on and off in the settings for each game

rediscovered, still gold

Got this game years ago for my Apple Watch. Recently rediscovered it for my iPhone and am loving every moment of it. It’s a classic and it’s one of those games that would excel at multiplayer online battles if the devs wanna go that route. I have more ideas too and would like to reach out!

This game is awesome but it’s broken.

I really enjoy this game, so I was interested in playing multiplayer. I bought it for a few of my friends, but one of them has the newest iPhone and wasn’t able to get past the initial “Swipe Up” screen. Then, the iMessage version doesn’t allow certain directions of swipes. It seems to be registering as attempts to dismiss the iMessage App window.

If these things were fixed, I was hoping to set up tournaments with my friends. I’d be very grateful, and I’d make sure my friends’ friends all bought copies and told their friends.

Thanks for making a clever, unique, and well-crafted game!

Buggy

Tried playing in iMessage and I can't swipe down so unable to play

Worth the money but gets boring

Good game but gets boring after 10 minutes

Can’t even get past the first screen

Broken game won’t even let me get past the first swipe screen……stole my money.

Boring and dry

Absolutely dry and uninteresting game featuring grade school level logic puzzles with predetermined outcomes. You get only a few choices of movement and it’s pretty obvious which is the right move. Great for keeping the kids busy I guess.

One extra star for not collecting data.

Works on phone but not watch

game works on my phone but not my apple watch series 7

Leaves you wanting more

This is a great little puzzle game. The visuals are pleasing and intuitive and the sound design is unobtrusive. The gameplay is a pretty even mix of strategy and luck, which sometimes means playing a level multiple times until things go your way. Thankfully, each level is very short, so replaying them isn’t a chore. The handful of levels that were either entirely strategy or entirely luck were the most fun to play.

It’s incredibly short, taking less than an hour to complete. I would happily pay another £0.89 for another set of stages. There’s a pass-and-play mode and a mode where you play against the computer, but the levels are randomly generated and the only thing you can customise is the number of players. These modes would be a lot better if they had customisable settings. I’d love to be able to toggle fog of war and types of obstacles and to choose the board size.

Overall it’s a great game that’s entirely worth the price, but it’s over in a flash and has little replay value.

Amazing and delightful game

This is one of the simplest, but cleverly delightful games I’ve ever found in the App Store. Simple to grasp but it has provided hours of fun.

Awesome quick-play game

I found this game randomly and I love it! It’s just the right balance of casual strategy and luck. The design is gorgeous, sophisticated, and the UI super easy. I pick it up and play it often because of how quick you can get in and out, and progress is always saved.

Thank you also for monetizing fairly with no ads, no IAP, no data collection. The file size is small and the app uses no battery. You did everything right here.

Thank you developer!

Poor design

Bad AI and level design create matches that are unrewarding or impossible to defeat. No middle ground. You either win extremely easy or never stand a chance.

It’s okay…

It’s good but needs polishing has potential to be better.

RNG Based

The concept is shallow but entertaining enough when you’re actually able to use strategy. Most times though, you will be forced to rely on RNG as there are tiles that send your pieces in random directions. So instead of strategy you just keep restarting until the pieces actually go where you need them to. There are maps where that is the only way to get to the other side. It’s a terrible concept and ruined my enjoyment of the game.
