No response from support team

First tried to reset password, several times, no reset link. Got one reply from a team member, but have been waiting for a couple weeks for anything further. Will gladly update this review if it gets fixed. At this point I would say do not use this app.

Terrible service

I’m owed a share of tips and have not been paid, my work also has issues. When emailing them you get no response. I guess they’ll just horde your tips and ignore you until you give up so they can pocket the funds. Or, they’re just terrible at customer service and overall communication. Con.

Disappointing

My employer has been using TiPJAR for a few months now and every payment has been late and slow responses from them when you ask what the problem is.

Over a week late with distributing our tronc and they won’t even reply to an email with an update. Such an awful company avoid like the plague

Constant login

I had to download this app for work, as it turned mandatory and i am constantly waiting a solid 5 minutes for it to load and then it says my detail are wrong so every time i try and login i have to change them. I have to change them 2-3 times a week to just access my tips. So annoying

Signing up its dreadful, it wont let me change the password, i put in my email and it will not send me a link to reset it. So i can’t even acess the app

compliance sorted

with the new laws around tipping we didnt want to risk getting it wrong. tipjar handles it properly and the reporting is decent. big weight off my mind.

Withdrawal fee

You only received £2.01, and then you need to pay a withdrawal fee of £0.49. This is quite unreasonable.

Venue harmony

we’ve got 3 venues and keeping tips consistent was tricky. now it’s all standardised and fair across the board. wish we’d done it sooner.

helps me budget better

im part time and tips are a big part of what I earn. before this I never really knew what was coming in. now I can check and plan ahead. sounds boring but its helped loads.

less hassle for managers

as an assistant manager i used to dread doing the tip breakdown. it took ages and if you made one mistake someone would notice. now its all in the system and way easier.

Doesn’t work

Every time I go into app it doesn’t let me in with my password sometimes it does! I need my tips!!

Worst tip app ever

Asked me to put in details then won’t even let me upload them, absolutely no support from devs, any employers should stay far away from this app for the sake of their employees, bet you’ll they’ll try delete this review aswell

Buggy mess

keeps prompting you to download tipjar collect which doesn’t exist on the App Store. Even when you select don’t show again. Bad layout, tips stay in ‘pending’ forever as well.
