While waiting to take my barber test I did not get tipped and I did not have my Tippy linked to a bank account yet because I thought the money was secure in there. After 30 days of not being tipped there is a $100 fee, for not using it. That money is gone.
None sense app
This is a none sense app. The most annoying is that you have to login all the time manually.

This app is okay. However the card from branch was immediately hacked got into all my accounts and has been nothing but problems
scam & data phishing app
Only your employer benefits from this. it is a scam. the fact that I cannot join my banking system with tippy and have to download and create an account with branch is ridiculous. useless 3rd party scamming system.

I have to use this app. Plus another one called Branch, and for what? Tips? When we have Venmo or at least cash app already? Most people have those so getting my tips was never an issue. And why does it charge to leave a tip? Stupid, useless app. Just for data fishing. No other reason when there’s better apps out there that do the same thing with less steps, and that don’t charge. Who asked for this app? No one. That’s who
Edit: just got off the phone with a girl claiming to be from tippy saying how I need to move my money out of the acc, she was rude of course when I told her I’ll do it at my own time, and it’s fine where it is. She was unprofessional so I ABSOLUTELY wasn’t gonna give her any of my info. Couldn’t even answer why they exist as a company other than just telling me it’s for the business owners. So NOT the service providers, the BUSINESS OWNERS🙄 of course we get screwed and so do my clients

Needs an update
This app hasn’t had any security updates to install in 11 months.
Unreliable
Not sure if I’d my location but I love the app love the idea of walking away with my tips but many days the system isn’t working and it’s a huge disappointment .
Nobody asked for this
I was forced into this app by my employer. Ok, that’s not accurate. It’s actually *2* apps AND a debit card that are now required to do what Venmo was doing just fine with one simple click. But someone who seems to be in competition with Venmo decided they needed to butt in and get theirs, convinced some upper level fat cats this was the way to go/offered kickbacks, and here we are. We’ve been cahooted. No ability to opt out of Tippy, no longer allowed to have clients Venmo, PayPal, etc our tips.
So now in order to get my tips into the account my bills get paid from, I had to link my financial info to yet another app company that I’m now looking forward to getting the “we’ve been hacked and your info was involved” letter from in the future. And I needed another debit card like I need a hole in the head, thanks.

Disgusting fee chargers
I would not touch this two app system with a 60 foot pole, hidden fees and hassles galore, I’ll see y’all in the class action lawsuit when they get “hacked” and all our info is leaked
Massage Chains
I really love how tippy makes being Massage therapist lucrative. I work at Hand And Stone and this is pretty much their model for tips this day and age as Massage Therapist. We need our money upfront the day of because of the fluctuation in which clients come in. I feel more spas. Need to implement this and help the therapist out. Rent is high utilities are high card notes are high. We need money now!!!

your company is only using its referral bonus to their benefit
you can’t set up a direct deposit in app and also charges the client a fee or makes your own tip less than they pay which makes clients not want to use the system. you can’t set up direct deposit through the app, you need to download another app(BRANCH)-make a bank checking account with EVOLVE BANK&TRUST-and then they send you a ‘bank card’ to use your tips or you can transfer that money into your actual checking account. venmo/paypal/zelle/apple pay are much more convenient and you get 100% of your tips rather than this scam of a business

Useless app
This wasn’t a option for me, we were forced into using it cause of the new company that bought our company. They claimed to see an increase in employee tips. I find this interesting since they charge you $1.06 to tip, instead of free with our previous system… they argue that you can now get your tips daily… was never a concern for me, I prefer not to have access to my tips until my paycheck… Tippy forces you to download another app called Branch to access the money in your tippy account…. The only thing this had going for it was it supposed to show me who was tipping what, all clients names are listed as N/A… which took this from a 2 star to a 1 star review. so my guess is they have to make an account before we see that.
Useless app, so many extra steps for no reason but to get peoples info, charges a surcharge to be able to tip. I’m forced to use it, but I wouldn’t accept a job at a company that utilizes this app, but I have a solid clientele here I’m not willing to leave yet.

This company is ok but they partnered with Branch app which is scammer. They locked my account and my employees account for no reason and now I don’t have access to thousands of dollars which they are holding illegally.

If you want an app that crashes so your tips don’t go through and useless customer service this is the app for you!
Love it!
I really love that my store has switched to using this product. Using suggested tip percentages gets you a higher payout than just asking a client how much they want to tip. I really appreciate it🫶

Old app was way more direct and convientent sometimes we don’t need visual bells and whistles it’s a tipping app 🤦🏽
