For people who can't figure out how to use the app: Go into your email, and attempt to open the winmail.dat file from your email. An option should be available to open it in TNEF's enough. That will pull the files into the app, where you can view their actual extension types, and save them as their actual file type.

Waste Of Time
Once email is copied to this app, the app does NOT show winmail.dat attachments. Worthless to me.

Works spectacularly
Tried another app and was disappointed that I was unable to open my files. This app worked perfectly and immediately! Don’t try any other Winmail.dat file opener!
Forget TNEF and use Letter Opener instead.
I received 2 emails with winmail.dat files attached. I installed TNEF and opened the attachments. According to TNEF the attachments had no sender, no subject and no content. So I tried Letter Opener. This app gave me all the missing info. In short, forget TNEF and use Letter Opener.
