Disappointed customers
Had to wait 10 minutes for a table for 2, even though more than 6 double tables that could have been separated? Went up to be served Yorkshire & meat selection, only then to find warm carrots & mash which would not come off the serving soon as it was too dry? Once seated we found much to our dismay, that the beef & pork we had chosen was tough & grisly, told one of the staff that we were unhappy, she responded with sometimes the meat is like that & would we like another choice, which we turned down. We doubt if we will be returning.

Had over 70 carvery told only allowed 2 slices ov meat and was glen two pieces ov gammon no more that 50mm square and felt bellied when complaining regards a regular patron.

Substandard. The TV in vegetables hadn’t been refreshed for a long time and were ‘well worn’. The vegetable area was neglected and needed cleaning and tidying and the beef was so tough it was inedible.

Called in at the Oulton Carvery with 4 friends and had the Carvery. My friend paid, but I had a code for 25% off which I gave the waiter. My friend paid the bill, but the discount was not taken off. It was a few days later I realised, but when contacting the Carvery, they said they could not do anything about it. Not a lot of money, but the principle that mattered and the way they dealt with it was very poor.

Good choice/ selection
Chef serving and cutting the meat portion is very cheerful and attentive . Carvery meat is tender but some of the vegetables (carrots over cooked and bland) all other vegetables are just perfect as is the Yorkshire pudding. Toby gravy very thin. Overall very happy with the food and service.

Nice restaurant, lovely roast, friendly staff. Can get very busy at times but the staff do their best to have a table ready on time. Have eaten here many times. Recommended.
