App not working well after last update

Will notify you that the timer went off early or the time won’t move at all. I’ve been a big fan of this app for almost a year now but I had to delete it cause it’s just not working anymore. I’m using it on iPad not on phone cause I don’t want to have to keep checking my phone constantly. Idk how well it works there but either try it on your phone or just get another app until they fix it. If it were to work I’d give it a 5/5. It’s a great app. I just hope the developers see this review so they fix it. Please please fix it. This app has changed the way I work-it’s a shame it doesn’t work.

Hey Nelly2dhxh, Thanks for using Tomato Timer and I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. If you wouldn’t mind reaching out to support@tomatotimerapp.com, I can take a closer look at what went wrong. Thanks again, Adam 🍅

Love this product

I’ve tried these sorts of timers in the past and didn’t really find them helpful. This one is perfect! It’s simple and does help with my focus. Other options took too long to learn or promoted distraction with all the fancy features. No frills or bells and whistles with this one, but it has all the functionality I need. I love it!

Simple and Easy! Free to use. Very few issues.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this app definitely deserves credit. It’s super simple and easy to use. The interface is cute, as well as the free options are super nice to have. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the upgrade for a little extra nicety as well as giving to the creator.

A few things. When I am done with a project, I can’t delete that project. It’s file still kind of exists, but it’s completely empty. And when I am working on a current project, my current task doesn’t pop up. It kind of stinks because I like being able to see what I need to work on to stay on track. Very minor, but would be nice to include, but overall super awesome app! Highly recommend using it!

Perfect productivity timer app

This is THE best productivity timer app I’ve seen on the App Store- and I’ve used a lot, including Forest and Flora.
Why? Two reasons.
1) It is SUPER simple. There are no fancy, unnecessary details or gimmicks. There’s a one-time purchase for a couple extra features that are useful but not necessary to use the main product. As a productivity app, it shouldn’t overwhelm you and Tomato Timer does a great job keeping it minimal.

2) I love the “what are working on?” prompt for when you turn on the timer. I particularly like that it allows me to write in my one specific task I’m working on, because it primes me to work solely on that task until it’s done, as opposed to multitasking.

This app is for students and remote workers alike. Can’t recommend it enough. I just hope the developer keeps the interface as simple as it currently is.

Simple, Functionable, Efficient

This is such a slick tool. It has lots of little tweaks to make it fit me. Easy to set up and use, although i did have to go back to store to get info on zen mode. I am very impressed with this tidy little app and it is already feeling like an essential tool to help me with my distraction problems

Simple! Yes. Please fix task selection for paid app.

This is a simple timer and task pomodoro. Exactly what I was looking for. Nice that I’m supporting a small developer too. :) I paid for the app and now can’t seem to select which task I’m “working on” since I have several listed under my project. This started to happen once I checked off one of my tasks in my project. Can the developer please look at this and update? Kind of sad that it works much better on the free version.

Trying it again, it’s the to do list feature that appears to be working incorrectly. I’m going to use pen and paper for now until that feature works. :/

Hey Katie! Thanks for using Tomato Timer and sorry about this experience - can you send me an email at adam@adamtecle.com so I can understand the issue here better? Thanks Adam 🍅

Impressive User-friendly

I’m totally satisfied with this app.
You can fix its timer on your personalized settings and it’s really helpful for me. Also has more few colors that all are very very cute. Has no bugs
Thanks to the producer :)

Helps my ADHD

I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until I was 34. As a female that’s not surprising. My previous position in my company was very structured but in my current position I am responsible for my day and getting off track is very easy. Especially working from home for the past two years. I have found stepping away helps but then I hyper focus and will be away longer than I planned. This app helps me be productive but scratch the itch to do something else. Having my day in smaller chunks has helped immensely!

The only feedback I have is to be able to restart the “clock” since sometimes it holds on from the night before it I was on 2/4.

Oh and I recommend the $2.99 version!! I get to pick any color I want and it doesn’t auto start the next session which allows me to quickly finish the task I am on before stepping away.

Thank you, Adam!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Minimal UI, maximal effectiveness

Of the many Pomodoro style timers out there I prefer Tomato Timer for its simplicity and clean design.

The only thing it doesn’t have that would be super helpful is a Watch app which would allow for haptic notification that a block of time has ended or is starting.

Simplicity at its best

After trying the other popular timers that utilize the pomodoro technique I can happily say that this is the best one. No bells, no whistles, no unnecessary hoops to jump through. For me, this app works wonderfully. More fun than the standard built-in phone timer but not so complex that it makes me sign up for an account. Thank you for making a great app!!!

FINALLY

I have been told and told about the Pomodoro Method by so many people, but as a massively busy ADD student in her last semester of undergrad, manually setting multiple timers for each part of the process was Too Much. This takes away that last ‘barrier’: all I have to do is open the app and tap the Tomato— no more procrastinating!!! I cannot recommend this enough!!

Simple and Effective

I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD for awhile now and little tools like this have really helped me come a long way on setting specific goals throughout the day.

functional & beautiful - w feedback

This app is exactly what I was looking for!! I love how beautiful and customizable it is.

One change I would appreciate is if the app could play the timer sounds while it is open. I need Do Not Disturb on to help me focus, but that silences the timer notifications. Having an in-app sound play while the app is open would be a HUGE help!

Thank you developer!

Simple app that collects no data!

Simple interface, the timer runs perfectly and J get multiple notification options, and there is no privacy policy and the App Store has indicated no data is collected from this app. Truly a one in a kind find!

Good effort

It is simple and works, so that is a plus. Doesn’t try to be your mother like some other productivity apps. But, You can’t reset it, it just has two options, pause and continue. It would be good to have projects and history so I could see what I worked on and when. If I find timer with that I’ll switch apps, but until then I’ll use this one. I did purchase the app, so maybe these features will be added some day.

Hi, thanks for using Tomato Timer and for this feedback. Functionality to reset the timer or complete the session is available today - long press the timer to reveal these options. I hope this makes the app more useful to you. Please feel free to reach out to adam@adamtecle.com if you’d like to elaborate more on what other project features you’d like to see or have any other feedback/questions! Thanks, Adam 🍅

Love this app - one improvement

I love the simplicity of this tomato app! Huge fan and find the list feature helpful. One improvement I would like to see is the ability to toggle between the type of time without having to click through and cancel. For example, I get interrupted in the middle of sessions sometimes and take my breaks early. I wish there was a way to just say “skip to next focus session” if the long break comes up.

Hi, thank you very much for using Tomato Timer and for this feedback. I can definitely see how more controls around where you are in the timer would come in handy. I’ll be taking this into consideration for future releases. Please feel free to reach out to adam@adamtecle.com if you’d like to elaborate any further. Thanks, Adam 🍅

UI unable to use, 1 star for your efforts

This has potential to be a GREAT app for its intended purpose, but there’s no apparent way to start over the timer when its been set, throwing the intended use out the window. If i cant track my time properly in the event of having to stop what im timing, then i personally find this app unacceptable and unusable. Once an apparent solution is provided id love to check it out again, but until then...

Exactly what i was looking for

Was looking for a pomodoro that is very simple and minimal looking and non distracting. Allows to change intervals without paying! Its so basic without too many extras its perfect. Cannot believe other apps make you pay for such features, i know it could be developed so easily in short time.

it’s ok

I really wish that work & break times would look visually different from each other, as well as being labeled as such-it’s really hard to tell which phase I’m in. The in-app purchase gave me nothing useful I’m afraid. It’s only $2.99, but still, there’s virtually no improvement to the UX.

Keeps going

I love this app so much but I wish I could restart the timer. For example, if I finish my task or move on to something else and don’t need to complete the full 4 sessions. Then, I reopen the app and the timer is still there. This can be good if I wanted it to stay but i want to be able to restart completely. Please create a button or something where i can reset the timer for my next task. Other than that, absolutely love this app

EDIT: I got a developer response immediately, learned how to fix what my problem was, thank you so much! Absolutely recommend this app!
