Good learning experience too

I like that it explains the original signal chain before adapting it. Seeing which amp and pedals were used helps me understand tone building better, even when translating it to my modest setup.

Nice for classic rock fans

I’m into 70s rock and always chase those crunchy tones. Choosing a song shows the original amp and effects, then adapts it to my modern gear. It feels like having a starting recipe to follow.

Works well with tube amps

I have a small tube combo that reacts strongly to gain changes. After choosing a blues rock song, it suggested lower preamp gain and higher master volume. That small shift really changed the feel.

Love it!

Finally a tone app that actually adjusts to my gear. Set my strat + Marshall, got Hendrix-leaning results insteas of generic presets. Worth it.

Finally nailed that solo tone

There’s a solo I’ve been trying to match for months. After entering my Les Paul and tube amp, it showed the likely pickup position and effects chain. Tweaking to those specs got me much closer than before.

Useful before band rehearsal

Before rehearsal I needed the exact clean tone for an intro part. I selected my Strat and multi-FX unit, then chose the song. The suggested EQ and gain levels saved me from endless knob turning at the studio.

Helped with bedroom setup

I mostly practice at home with a small combo amp and a couple pedals. After choosing a classic blues track, it broke down the likely original rig and adjusted it to what I own. Way easier than guessing from YouTube clips.

Great Idea, terrible functionality

The thing cannot even do what it’s advertised to do. You can’t choose the song you want to tone match and it is severely lacking in ability to match the parameters it suggests to the gear you’re using.
