Help - No product support

The app was working fine last year when I bought it but after period of not using it and iOS updates all the tones seem to have lost their quality and everything sounds off. I don’t use Facebook or any of the other social media platforms Yonac use so there’s no way to get support from the manufacturers.

I appreciate I might be an old man but I’d hope that would be better way of getting some support without having to write a complaint review.

Great App (could use an update)

If it fit the larger iPhone screens better it would be close to perfect.

Only option to expand is to buy a huge bundle

Right now you can’t add any individual effects without buying a $60 bundle. Complete disregard for customization without paying a fortune!

Don’t touch it.

I don’t usually review but I won’t ignore the way these guys handle their app. I got this to look into playing BASS with it, meaning because they only have 1 other purchase to buy everything else I would have to buy their “pot o gold” to use the bass sounds. I’m only interested in bass and it already starts with a $10 purchase. I’m not about to spend over $60 just for these bass sounds. They denied my refund both times for the parts I cannot use. Scummy.

No tech support. No communication. Ur on ur own.

The only way to communicate with Yonac is thru Facebook. I’ve tried to contact them several times now and they do not respond to inquiries. The app is Okay. Cost $59 bucks to get the full benefit. Just realize, if you have any trouble, you’re on your own. Don’t expect them to respond.

A few bugs

I love the app. It has some great tones and sounds but it seems a little bit buggy. My problem with this app is that it seems like midi assignments won’t when I assign a midi cc the app seems to not remember it, and I have to reprogram it every time.

Expensive given extremely limited support

The app is fine, but $70 for an upgrade? Not until I have some support. Support for this app is only available through social media like Facebook and twitter. I do not use social media; i find my life is much more pleasant playing music instead of doom scrolling.

I’ve had a question now for over 2 weeks yet I cannot get any response from the developer(s). I now have a few questions and it seems I must resign myself to never hearing from the developers. It seems they have no interest in actively supporting their app.

Again, decent app, works more or less as advertised, but the $10 entry is extremely limited in access to pedals. Absolutely NONE of the included presets will work BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL BUILT FROM THE $70 UPGRADED VERSION! So, yeah, the “free stuff” isn’t free: it will cost you an ADDITIONAL $70 to be able to use ANY of the presets included with the app.

Also, the manual is thinner than the morality of a MAGA disciple. If you aren’t a programmer (or have programming experience) and don’t have a lot of time and patience, this app will seriously piss you off. It will get the job done, but with much frustration and without any guidance or assistance whatsoever.

So far its working, but I am seeking a more effective, affordable and supported application to base my work on. This one ain’t it.

A bit disappointed

As a bass player I was a little disappointed at the limited amps and fx available for bass vs the guitar. Especially when you are already paying £10 upfront. Now if I want more bass amps and fx I need to pay another £60!!! Gutted! It’s a shame as the sounds on YouTube sounded great.

Honestly - better than $100+ name brands

ToneStack Pro is a strong contender in the amp & effects simulator landscape. It delivers excellent value, very good sound quality, and an easier preset/rig-building workflow than many rivals. If you’re switching between Amplitude, Bias FX, or similar apps, ToneStack Pro won’t make you feel like you stepped backward.

1. Sound Quality
ToneStack Pro’s DSP and modeling are well-polished — clean tones, punchy overdrive/distortion, lush reverbs and delays. In many cases, the sound is equal to, and sometimes better than, what I’ve heard in Amplitude and Bias. Especially for mid-gain and ambient textures, ToneStack Pro often wins out in richness and stereo presence.
2. Preset / Rig Building Ease
Building your tone (amp + cab + effects chain) is intuitive. Drag-and-drop for signal flow, easy mixing/matching of cabs & amps, a pretty straightforward preset manager, and good options for editing. Compared to apps like Bias, where sometimes dialing in settings feels fiddly or buried in menus, ToneStack Pro makes this process more accessible.
3. Feature Set
• Large library of amps, cabs, and effects (70 amps, 68 cabs, 140+ effects in the full collection).
• AUv3 support and running multiple instances is great. Try running 3 instances of Amplitude or others in one session on a brand new computer, and watch your cpu die.
4. Workflow & Usability
Preset management is solid: saving, organizing, sharing presets is easy. The interface is clean, responsive. Dragging effects into the chain, switching amps, adjusting effects all feel well designed. This smoothness helps reduce the “tweak fatigue” that sometimes comes with other amp sims.
Honestly, I own all of the apps named, Genome, Tonex, almost all of them. This app is much better.

Excellent sound; Outstanding app

TL;DR:My highest recommendation for an application. Buy this application and rest assured that you’re going to get outstanding sounds, great ease of use and very smooth functionality.
I’ve been using this application for over two years and should’ve written a review before now. This application is one that I use on an almost daily basis I have all of the main brand-name iOS apps, NAM, TONEX, TH-U; but I come back to this application for the sheer usefulness of it. Being able to set up and prototype of line with multiple apps, multiple cabs to fine-tune or determine what sound works best is invaluable usefulness to me. Additionally when you insert a element amp cab affect you can rest assured it is almost always set up correctly for insertion into the line without just being over the top or having to waste a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to use the effect. This app just works. It works the way you expect it and it fits into my workflow effortlessly. I encourage you to buy this application as I believe that you will find a lot of usefulness for not a lot of money. You don’t need the pot of gold extension, but it does offer a lot of amps, that you will find useful and more effects. Highest recommendation.

tempo sync issues

This app contains probably the best sounding guitar fx I have heard on iOS, especially the wahs!!! Unfortunately, when used as an auv effect the tempo sync simply does not work with the hosts tempo making the time based effects pretty useless in my own set up (live looping with no preset tempos). I like modulation fx to modulate in time with the music and as this is not possible I have had to settle for a generic setting. The delays are totally unusable without the ability to “tap tempo” so I have to go elsewhere for those. It is a shame as this is the most comprehensive set of great sounding fx I have found on iOS and the ui is excellent. Surely this problem could be solved with an update?

*updated to 5 star as issue with bpm sync was resolved with an update :)

Love it

After using bias fx2 for a while, I eventually tried this and feel that it generally gets me the sounds and tones I’m looking for more quickly and easily. And it also can run as an auv3 plugin which bias can’t so kudos for that.
One flaw I’ve noticed is stepping with midi cc control, particularly in the whammy effect. Would be awesome if there was some smoothing, whether configurable or not. Also I do feel like the modeling is a bit static compared to some I’ve tried. But the tones it can do are amazing. Overall an amazing value and is becoming my go to for guitar effects.

Really Bad Lag

Love the idea of what this app can do. I’m a pedalboard guy and so this was my first foray into using my iPhone/ipad as my tone shaping. However, I’m a bit underwhelmed by how it’s performed and maybe it’s user error, if so, please advise. I’m plugging my Epi LP into my iRig pro I/o, into my brand new 2025 iPad, and using my AirPods Pro 2 headphones. I can get the app itself to work but the lag between what I play and when I hear it is really bad, so bad it’s unusable. Is this lag normal?

Response from developer

Hello! You should not be experiencing lag. Please send us a support message, support@yonac.com, and we can help you troubleshoot your issue.

Love it

App is still awesome after all this time, couple of welcomed feature in a possible update (even as new iap) would be adding a NAM files loader (Nam files and IR files) and the possibility to save presets internally for each pedal/effect one may add. Nevertheless Tonestack still rocks. 💪🏻👍🏻

Bout purchess

Great app, very practical!

10€ for what?

Not only it is a payment app, but once you have it it will cost you other 70€ to get the full access. You do not have even a pitch between the standard effect you got.
Also, it crashed twice in the 15 min I spent on it. Unfortunately there is no refund, but I going to disinstall it for sure.

Skip this app if you need your delay to be in time!

UPDATE: It appears as though they fixed the issue I was originally having. I’m going to do some testing and report back. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’m rating 1 star because this app is effectively useless to me after discovering such a stupid not working feature. When you use this app within another app (as an audio unit) they remove the tempo syncing options from the ui. The app is supposed to sync to the tempo of the app it’s being used within. THIS DOESN’T WORK! So no app sync within garage band, cubase 3, aum or any other audio app. I wanted to use this in aum with another app “autopad” which would let me have a click and pad going with my electric sounds. This is rendered impossible.

Such a bummer because the sounds this app can create are phenomenal. If it did everything it claimed to be able to do then I would be super happy with it. I would be fairly close to being able to replace my heavy and expensive pedalboard with an ipad. But a very important feature is broken. This app appears to have been abandoned as posts about this very topic on their online forum have not been responded to for about a year.

Devs: if you fix this I will change this review to 5 stars. While your in there can you provide the option to still have midi tap temp available while functioning as an audio unit?

Entwickelt sich weiter - very very good pitchshifters!!
