Effectively promotes mindfulness

This app has helped me catch myself when I’m procrastinating or just blooping and redirected me to things I always say I want to do but get distracted from instead.

Great reset

Two weeks in and this actually works. It's like a speed bump for those mindless moments when you're about to open the app you always open without thinking. My phone usage has dropped, and I've been swapping that time for reading and meditating instead.

So helpful

This is such a great way to not get stuck on autopilot

Finally, one that actually works!!!

I don’t usually leave reviews for apps, but Tonic completely deserves it. I have legitimately tried every single habit-tracking app out there, and this is the only one that has actually helped me stay consistent and hold myself accountable! Sticking to my habits with this app has honestly made me feel so much better about myself. On top of that, the interface is fantastic and super enjoyable to use. I’m so excited to see how this app continues to evolve. Keep up the amazing work!

Healthy habits

A great way to build healthy habits. I appreciate the option to simply track or to gamify habits.

Productivity Game Changer

I have been using this app for a week and already seen my instagram screen time reduced by 60%. It seamlessly integrates into the experience and adds just a little friction which is enough to stop me from mindlessly scrolling. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reduce their screen time!

An amazing fully customizable hold yourself accountable app!

Tonic has been one of the most effective tools I’ve found for managing screen time and building better habits on my phone. It goes beyond basic limits by offering flexible options, whether you want structured restrictions, short session controls, or a reward-based system to stay on track.
What stands out is how customizable it is. You can tailor it to fit your routine, whether that means cutting down on specific apps, staying focused during work blocks, or creating healthier daily patterns. It feels more adaptive and practical than the default screen time tools, especially if you want something that actually helps you stay accountable.
If you’re trying to be more intentional with how you use your phone, this is a really solid option.

Much needed app!

In a time where our phone is constantly winning our attention, this app is a fantastic tool to keep priorities straight. As a therapist, I love seeing an app like this that challenges my brains reward system to work hard, then play hard.

No more doom scrolling

Tonic is a great way to cut down on bad phone habits. No more doomscrolling or mindlessly opening apps!

Less Time on Apps, More Outside

I love that Tonic allows you to use time outdoors as a way to “earn” time on other apps. Especially working from home, it gets me outside and away from my screens. This is a great tool to establish a new routine!

Reordered my habits

Because it knows when I’ve hit my steps and unlocks automatically I actually stuck with this one.

Helped me get off my tush

I’ve been procrastinating learning Spanish for years. I’m married to a Mexican man so that was ridiculous. Truly this app helped me finally download and start using a language learning app. And the fact that I have to do 30 minutes gets me in the groove and I almost always end up doing even more. But my favorite thing is tonic makes me comfortable with how much control I have over getting into the locked apps. I can easily change and adjust my requirements. Some of the other apps make me feel like I don’t have any control. Anyways. Highly recommend the download!

10 out of 10!

I have tried a few apps to help with doom scrolling, but Tonic is the first that’s actually succeeded in changing my mindset. It’s sleek and simple to navigate. For me, I like the steps feature to earn time on apps, as you’re able to adjust it to realistic goals and make it hard enough for yourself to earn the time or unlock an app. Eventually though I found myself earning time, opening the app and then just closing it because I realized I didn’t want to actually be there. My scrolling apps time has gone way down since starting Tonic. I have also enjoyed the daily habits tracker feature. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone trying to break app time sucks and do so in a way that helps you get on track with good daily habits.

Simple, elegant and effective!

I love this new way to manage my screen time! The setup is incredibly easy and I love the way it shows me my progress towards unlocks. I’ve seen my wasted screen time plummet in the past few weeks and my consistency with healthy habits increasing. It’s amazing how much less I find myself watching YouTube or online shopping when I’m blocked for the first part of the day. Get this app and take your life back from your phone!

Best way to build healthier habits

Tonic is so intuitive and an effective way to break phone addiction and build healthier habits. I’ve tried other tactics and apps but none have worked as well. It runs in the background and offers so many customizations if desired. I’m recommending this app to everyone I know!

Excellent at reorienting my priorities

This app just simply works well, it allows me to prioritize my phone use for things I want/need and pull back on distractions. It’s nice to have something that works so easily and doesn’t inundate you with ads
