Won’t find device

The jump pack works great but this app literally sucks a fat one. Won’t find my device, won’t hook up no matter what i do. Restart, hook to battery first hook to battery second. Unplug, plug, stand on head, touch my nose. Nothing works. It can’t literally be that hard…. Can it?

Questionable at best

I got a tb6000 and it worked for a few months, now it never connects to any battery without dropping. So, I have to get another brand battery tender. 0/10 would not recommend.

I’ve been using the app and testers for 3 years now. Haven’t had issues with the app, have with the tester. Clamps kept breaking after a year but the new design looks tougher.

The tester is great but the software is useless. Once you activate the Bluetooth function you can’t get out of it unless you turn your phone off or deactivate the Bluetooth app.
The tester says press exit to shut the app down but it turns back on by it self. The software / firmware does not work as described by it own menu. So if you want to just use the tester and not the Bluetooth you have to shut the app off on your phone or the tester won’t work. Useless software. The developer suggested updating firmware and it still does not work unless I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone iPhone 13 Pro Max

Does not work

Tried to connect to BT Mobile Pro S on 16 pro max and S24+ and the scan doesn’t pickup the device

Device lights in as per manual and instructions and no luck.

For something at such a premium compared to other companies the App and Topdon ecosystem is terrible

Why don’t you get rid of your 100 Apps and just put everything in one app?? And fix the connectivity.

It Works Good

This connects instantly with the Topdon BT20 tester and does all the test as designed. Very nice app and tester.

Poor Bluetooth Connection

Previous version of the software worked well. Would allow you to locate device and maintained connection. New version is not able to find the device unless you remove and redownload the app. After connecting the first time it drops the connection and does not reconnect. There is no manual option to operate the charger which has made the device useless. Also has a strange requirement that clamps need to be unplugged to find Bluetooth device requiring a more complex sequence to find a device.

No system test with PDF report

You cannot do a complete system test as on other devices, it only seems to store them as separate tests, cit would be a great improvement if you could. As ideally it needs to all be in a pdf you can save with the vehicle details eg Reg, mileage, VIN etc

This app does not detect my BT Mobile Lite

Despite what the description says, I now have a little brick. This app does not detect my subject battery analyzer, even though it’s plugged into my car battery and I have a green light for power. It just stays stuck on the “Searching for available devices” screen. Please put out a reliable app!! Guess I’ll have to toss this brick in the garbage.

Bluetooth connectivity is a joke.

Once the device losses connection to the phone there is no way to recover other than to power cycle which interrupts the charging process. Very disappointing🤷🏼

Works pretty well so far so good,

The app works pretty well, though I would have preferred the BTMOBILE APP if I am being honest, what I don’t know is can the mobile BT battery tester be updated using the battery lab app, as you can update the battery tester using the BT MIBILE APP. Question why is the BT MOBILE APP not available on IOS devices.

Don’t buy TOPDON!

Bought BT20 a year ago and it had its own BT20 software in test flight that let me show customers real time battery data and very simple information to show them if battery is good or bad holding charge or not. 1 year later that software is not working and they came out with this junk that only says BASIC info… eg they want you to buy another product that they will iPHASEOUT in a year. Real nice.

Not letting me register account

No matter how I format my password or no matter how many verification codes I enter the "Register" button never enables so I can create the account. Tried both on WiFi and Cell Data no change. Thus leaving my charger useless.

Register Problem

When you sign up to register your Topdon BT20 the Terms and Conditions Tick box is super small and cannot be seen easily. Took me a few tries and then I noticed it that’s why I was unable to Register.

Useless

Thank you for the most ridiculous tool and app I’ve seen on the market in some time.
There is NO REASON a person must create an account that doesn’t respond to your 4 digit security code before using what they paid for!!!!
Created my account 5 times while freezing my self and entering the 4 digit code for the activation bar to never highlight and it be timed out on your 30 second window.
No wonder this has 1 star on Amazon. I should have listened.
