Constant updates make it annoying

Annoying to use because large updates and download everytime I go to use the tool

So close

As a DIYer I wish I could save my vehicle’s profile so you don’t have to scan the vin everytime. Unless there is some other way of doing it you have to back all the way out to the main menu to watch recorded data, then if you go back in and rescan the vin (even though it wasn’t even removed from the port) and flip though a bunch of other menus to go to other tests.

It really slows down and frustrates you going from live data (which is buried to deep in the interface) to the main menu and back again.

Device bound

I bought this a while ago. Love it. Except I’ve had a problem with the vci not connecting it says it bound to my email which yes it should be, and yet when I hit activate that’s all it tell me. I am
Signed up for the yearly subscription and I can even use it. I’ve messaged your help department nothing. I would just like to use my scan tool. Please any help is appreciated.

Updates

Works well when it works, but every time I seem to get this out to read a code there’s updates that make it a much longer process than it needs to be. Makes me miss my wired OBD2 scanner that I could just plug in and it would read the code

Not that good, especially for those expensive updates, this should be a little more expensive and free lifetime updates, then it would be worth it

Nous comprenons vos préoccupations concernant le coût, mais cette mesure vise également à garantir l'évolution et la compatibilité du logiciel. Concernant l'expiration, nous proposons désormais une prolongation de trois jours de la période d'utilisation gratuite.

Great so far

Bought this to see if it would display the BMS battery management system SOH state of health of the high voltage battery in an EV. It worked!

I’m not a Mechanic or nothing just a normal person using it to clear stuff like the engine managemen

This does what I want I’m not a mechanical or nothing but I use it to clear any faults that come up, it is mainly sensors and it clears all perfectly. And it tells me the code and what it is and takes you to the website with the code to do more research.
But it is a perfect job for what I want use it for a Nissan

FORCED UPDATE APP UNUSABLE

I am driving from ottawa CAN to Los Angeles Cali and the software is forcing on me a 500MB update and there is no way to close the “UPDATE NOW” overlay, so the app is useless gif 2000 mimes until i get to a wifi connection F INH DTUPUD

Good product

Have had it for three years bought the lite one and then added the 22 bundle only thing it doesn’t have is IMO (or the key thing ). I’ve used it in professional settings and also for friends and family. It works pretty good,I have SnapOn modus but I only use the scope on it because it’s kind of big to take on test drives. I use my phone and iPad , it’s kind of the tool to go to. You need to learn how to navigate it in order to use it correctly, yes sometimes it is a little tedious but not the tools fault just got to learn it. I’ve used it enough to where it helps me on problem cars, but like all scan tools not all can do all you want but this one petty much covers all you may need in a daily bases. Take time to learn your tool , use it as often as you can and you will really be satisfied

This app is garbage.

The constant logging in to the app with 2FA is completely unnecessary. Who the hell is going to steal my phone and use my ToPDon to fix their car?

The app is ridiculous slow to update and you have to stay on the up date screen or it will pause. Can’t go to another app, can’t let the screen sleep. Nope you have to watch it 1% at a time. Just as much fun as watching paint dry.

Vehicles support

They claim to support certain vehicles only to find out the “advanced functionality you need “ is non existent all this is..is a high priced BASIC scanner so be aware. Returning mine today

Forced a subscription on me after a year

Bought a scanner just for quick little diagnostics and what not after a year I can clear codes unless I pay a subscription rather buy a different brand then forced into a monthly payment. That’s just weird.
