Partly genius, partly meh

I love the temp overlays and some of the functionality of this app.
Couple problems:
The camera is pretty unstable on my iPad mini (latest version) - it does come on, but I have to reinsert the camera pretty often to get it back to work after image either freezes or turns black (rest of app stays responsive)
- speaking of iPad, why is no iPad-specific version compiled.? Seems like a pretty low hanging fruit
- Rotation of all controls should work in all directions (portrait/landscape/up-side-down) to provide needed flexibility to get the most out of this camera
- why does the app not use present Lidar sensor and asks me to enter distance manually..?
- does the AI feature actually do anything..?
Hopefully you guys can address at least some of these concerns to make this app the greatest companion the device deserves

Doesn’t work with iPhone

Update. After working with tech support, I figured out you *must* set Wired Accessories = Automatically Allow When Unlocked for the iPhone to recognize the IR camera. If you choose Always Ask instead, the iPhone/camera handshake fails every time.

Good Price, Great Results

Just a home owner / handyman for friends. This is great and simple. Maybe it’s missing something for professional, but makes it so easy to see cold or hot spots. See missing insulation, studs, air ducting. Does everything I need with great value.

Stopped working on iPhone 16 Pro

Not sure why, but this no longer works on iPhone 16 Pro. Still works ok on iPad Mini A17 Pro. Very frustrating.

My favorite IR camera app for phones

I’ve been using this app with a TC002c IR camera for over a year and it’s very easy to use. It does everything I need it to do. My only complaint is/request is that the regular camera overlay be automatically synced to the thermal camera, as you have to manually line it up together every time, but other than I have no complaints! Love the ability to take thermal videos with it by utilizing the screen record feature as well!

Better on iphone than ipad

Works ok on iphone but ipad is better for home inspection, as you can share with homeowner in real time. please support ipad sized screen in all orientations. relying on ipad app zoom is lazy and doesn’t work well

Good, but

I like the camera (great resolution and sensitivity) and I mostly like the app (many features and options yet default settings are mostly all I need). But I would like the startup to be streamlined. Currently, before seeing live images, I'm asked to 1. login (why would I want to do that and provide an opportunity to be tracked?) 2. Update (good to know but I don't need to know every single time I open the app) 3. Choose the camera (that should be automatic) 4. Enable imaging (also should be automatic) 5. Modify settings (I'll do that later if I really need to be quantitative. So, I view that as 5 unnecessary steps. Please omit these. Thanks

Excellent app with feedback acted on

I originally left the review below but quite quickly the app was updated to include font options. The photo and data editing is now also much less buggy. Great to see the changes!

Photo editing is very buggy it often opens a completely different photo to the one you select for editing. It also keeps creating duplicates for no reason.
Other than that it’s pretty full featured and works well.

Lacks predictability

It does what it says but for thermal analysis, I can’t find a way to set a fixed, arbitrary range of min/max temperatures. As is, each thermal capture will have a random pseudo color representation as it will adapt to the min/max temperatures in the frame. This makes it useless to compare a series of captures. They each will have a different color for a given temperature. What I am measuring has a known min/max range. I should be able to set it so every capture in that set will have consistent color representation for the temperatures in that range.

To adjust these settings, please follow these steps: Enable the pseudo-color display Locate the vertical bar graph on the left side of the imaging interface Tap the bottom-most rectangular button to enter custom mode Set your desired high/low temperature limits

Very good

A lot of the old previous reviews should look at the app again as I have just bought the camera and the issues mentioned have all been fixed as far as I can see. I am impressed with the hardware and software.

The app works, but the text and temperature meter only seem to be setup for holding a phone in portrait mode

Good Tool

A good tool to have. Probably the best in market for its size and kind. 4 starts because the pictures saved in the phone is grainy compared to inside the app. Please Fix immediately.

Coming from FLIR it has potential

Coming from FLIRONE Pro. Pros are: it’s way faster and less finicky, just works, no long startup, no terrible battery that needs to be warm before functional. Cons: needs a dedicated iPad app. I need the ability to easily take landscape photos with the correct formatting/the text needs to rotate/always remain in the correct position. My biggest gripe is why does it look amazing on the screen but the photos come out terrible, cloudy/grainy and not what I see when using the camera? Please keep working on it because it has great potential!

Regarding the screen rotation feature: We’ve added this to our optimization roadmap and expect to release an updated version in the second half of this year, which will provide a smoother experience. Regarding the photo display issue: Currently, some device models may experience image scaling differences. The images appear clear on mobile phones, but may look grainy when zoomed in on an iPad. We are actively working on optimizing cross-device image adaptation, and future software updates will further improve display quality.

Works great with my iPhone 15 Pro

Really like this camera and the app. Fonts can be a little hard to read sometimes, maybe a bold font would be better but other than that great job!
