Magazine Discontinued

Sorry to hear the magazine has ended. Given that I only took out an iTunes subscription 3 months ago can I have a refund?

Response from developer

Thanks for your review. Please contact apps@futurenet.com, and our support team will be able to provide further assistance on this matter. Kind regards, The Digital Support Team

Really terrible in recent months

The server keeps failing so you lose all the issues you have paid for. I have been a subscriber for several years but am now cancelling given these persistent problems. Same problem with the SFX app.

Very disappointing.

Poor and rip off

Purchased a magazine and although it charged me $11.99, it wouldn’t download saying there was an error. I contacted Apple and they said to contact the publisher. I sent 3 emails with no reply and 3 tweets with no reply. Be VERY wary of purchasing with this publisher.

Gone backwards

Used to be a great interactive mag but the last 3 months they have just gone back to being a basic PDF style mag which is not what I am expecting. Poor show and not as good as the interactive digital version that Empire magazine produce.

Subscription not restoring

My iTunes subscription does not restore after updating the app. Have tried restoring several times and nothing. I have contacted them and had no response in how to rectify this, not happy! Have now been unable to download October and November issues, which I’ve paid for!!

What is there not to like?

Total Film...you rock. Please keep doing that thing that you do.

Nuff said.👍

Repeated downloading

A great disappointment. I hardly do reviews. This one is necessary. Pain point is that i continually need to download the issues that were downloaded a million times before into my library. Every time I check my library, it is always empty. I should have read the reviews. Great content but the app is, to say the least, well below average and needs major improvements.

Bookmarks not working

By the way while I'm bothering with a review, the content is still great, but I do miss the interactive version of the magazine, and I do not care for the way the change was handled.

Total Garbage more like it

App won't open. Immediately crashes. I can see the last article after double clicking home button but once app is selected it crashes.

Font size is too small now

Not sure when this update occurred but the font of the magazine text is way too small now. You have to zoom in to read it comfortably whereas before it was unnecessary.

My first digital subscription

I signed up for this a couple of years ago for going on holiday, with
The intention of cancelling after a couple of months. However it's actually a really cool app, and half
The price of the magazine. The only issue I had was that issues were about 500mb - they've now sorted these so that they less than 100mb which means I'm now using it my phone as well as iPad as I have the space!

Garbage app

Magazine might be great but I wouldn't know because I refuse to pay twice for one issue to get it to download. If the devs spent half as much energy on making a functional app as they did on promotions, nag screens and assaulting the user with pop ups and interstitial junk, they might have created something worth using. I have never encountered greater friction in on-boarding. Idiocy. Don't give these people your money.

Thanks for constantly harassing me to review your app. It's the one prompt I heeded.

Most unreliable app ever!

Love the magazine. Have for years. But this app, of many e-mags I subscribe to, is simply the most frustratingly unreliable apps I have the misfortune of using. If you want a digital film mag, get Total Film in print, if you want to read it digitally try elsewhere since actually being able to read the magazine isn't something this app allows...well not in one relaxing trouble-free sitting...you'll read half an article then crash it's frozen, reset...try to reload and same again. Time to delete the app, reinstall then sit for half hour while you have to re-download all your issues again. Then maybe just maybe you can read the other half...or maybe not. Total Crap...more apt title for this app.

A great magazine

This is a must-read for all movie fans.
I read Total Film regularly to keep up to date and amused by the writers' work.
They've missed a perfect score by one star... only because you can't zoom the text and some of the narrow text columns are "fiddly" to read for us with less than perfect eyesight.
Otherwise perfect.

All Future subs inaccessible

My Prog, Total Film and SFX subscriptions have disappeared since the last iOS update.

no free trial, garbage and scam

Do not waste time on this app, developer lure users by free trial which does not exist. But since you downloaded it you paid it, because developer uses number of downloads app in its profit, and you can not delete this app from your downloads.

Delight to use and read

This app loads and reads extremely reliably. Also it is very innovative in its design and layout. A lot of work must go into all of the facts, reviews, analysis and humour packed into each week. I like the way each page is cleverly designed with hidden pop ups, pull outs, drop downs etc. with further information on the article and subject.

Great information

This magazine has all you would want/need to know about any and all films in/coming out to theaters.

Amazing

It is great to have an amazing magazine like this in a portable digital format

Wonderful weekends

Not easy to find on newsstands in US it was always a treat to find a copy. I could be sure of several hours reading pleasure to reward my successful treasure hunt. No longer a chore to find, the digital version is even better than the elusive hard copy. And instead of several hours pleasure I have a weekend of enjoyment. And if that's not enough I haven't killed a tree or accumulated dusty stacks of old newsprint.
