Once you understand it!
I purchased a few weeks ago, and there’s a learning curve, not terrible but you have to learn what you are controlling and how. Dramatically changed the way I compose.
Issues at first then resolved
After many hours of trying bridges for my iPad and on PC frustrated and giving up I put down my iPad and the screen rotated!!! Guess what!? Icons for connecting to my device appeared. Works as advertised at that point. No where did I see that the iPad needs to be in landscape mode. So many hours wasted. I did raise my original review from 1 star, but because of that 3 is the max I can do. The instructions are not clear and just a ton to sift through saying need install bridge, click icons that are not there. Step 1 in instructions and FAQ need to be turn your tablet to landscape mode.

Great
Wonderful Tool
Amazingly built, cross platform app offering customizable solutions for digital audio work stations and way beyond.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Love it
I’ve been using this app for years now. It’s the perfect app for custom control surfaces. I use it for both studio production and live performances and it never fails on me. You can create whatever controls you need easily.
A nightmare…
… to set this up. Not recommended if you are a fairly normal computer friendly user. Better probably you are an IT tech nerd.

I bought this app for modulation wheels for MainStage. But this function no(
Lua!!!!
I love the scripting, how clean and stable it is. Keep it alive please!!!
Absolutely the top
The top OSC control surface app for customization.
Absolument essentielle !

Reliable toolset for many years
A decade later and I still use TouchOSC for building out interfaces to control generative graphics systems. First with Apple’s much-missed Quartz Composer, now Unity and Vuo. Everything from app prototyping to running live event graphics.
TouchOSC definitely has more power than I make use of, but I do depend on the more advanced customisation of Lua scripting to build out items like multi-coloured radio button sets out of individual buttons. Super helpful for making interfaces more foolproof and readable.
I think my main request is for more scripting documentation and examples, especially targeted for beginners. The current documentation is a little sparse and difficult to figure out, especially for non-programmers interested in an easier system to use when creating procedural experiences. The supported feature set appears to be a subset of Lua, and not everything you’ll find for Lua training online will be applicable.
I really appreciate the developers continuing to support this tool for so long, and I really hope support continues! It’s invaluable for quickly prototyping and creating OSC interfaces.

Perfeito
Não é fácil de configurar, mas com um bom esforço da pra configurar,/. E esses tem muita opção de customização, top mesmo.
Great and keeps getting better
This software has been regularly updated for so long, keeps getting better,is affordable, well made…. What’s not too like
Almost perfect…
This app is phenomenal in the amount of power it gives you, the scripting capabilities are fantastic. I’ve bought the app 3 times for different venues. The only gap I’ve found, is being able to access the values of one control, from the script of a different control. For example, I want to create a toggle switch using a radio - then in another control such as a button, read the radio value in the buttons script, and send a different OSC message depending on the state of the radio control. I believe the developer commented on wanting to implement something along these lines in future, but that was ~5 years ago. Hoping we get this “cross-control scripting” at some point. Even if it was just in the form of being able to set global variables that can be accessed and updated from multiple controls. The state could be managed that way. This would be a huge improvement

Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback. Regarding your use-case: This should already be possible in the current version and we'll gladly help you implement this if you send us an email to support@hexler.net. Thanks!

Great Tool For Live Use
TouchOSC is a great tool. It’s completely customisable and configurations can be adapted to your desired outcomes especially, if you know what you’re doing when it comes to midi. They could probably make the process a bit more easier especially when it comes to mass editing. However I’ve been pleased with it so far. I don’t even take my midi controller for ableton to gigs anymore. Just my iPad and my laptop!

FALLAS WINDOWS
For a few months now, the application stopped working when connected to the computer. Although the app recognizes the computer's IP and appears connected, it does not send MIDI information.
Does everything I wanted it to
I needed to create a simple 2-fader controller on an old iPhone, to use as a modulation and expression controller on my keyboard. I was able to achieve that in 15 minutes (though it could have been less had I just read the instructions from the start).
