About

Trace turns meeting audio into useful, structured outcomes. Record directly in the app, import audio from Files, or share a Voice Memos recording to Trace. Then use your own Gemini API key to create a transcript, meeting minutes, decisions, risks, and action items. Built for long work meetings, Trace processes audio in manageable sections, shows clear progress and retry states, and keeps unfinished work available when processing is interrupted. For best results, keep Trace in the foreground while long audio is being processed. If iOS interrupts background execution, return to the app and retry the saved work. Review and share the result in Markdown, polished HTML, or a compact PDF report. You can also share pending or completed source audio through the system Share Sheet. Trace uses a bring-your-own-key model. Your Gemini API key is stored in iOS Keychain. Selected audio, transcript text, meeting background, and generated results are sent to Google Gemini only to provide transcription, analysis, and fact-checking features. Trace does not include a shared Gemini account or API key, does not require a Trace account, does not track you, and does not provide built-in cloud sync. See the Privacy Policy for server-side processing and retention details. Trace is free to download and includes 5 successful meeting results. A one-time non-consumable purchase unlocks continued use. Gemini API usage is not included; pricing and availability depend on your Google project and App Store storefront.

What's New in Trace

1.1

July 22, 2026

Trace 1.1 adds in-app recording, a recording library, real waveform playback, Voice Memos and Files import, shareable source audio, and redesigned Markdown, HTML, and PDF reports. Long recordings now use smaller independent transcription segments with safer retry and timestamp repair, while app appearance, display-awake behavior, localization, and overlap deduplication are more reliable.
