What's New in Trāce

1.1.0

August 9, 2026

Territories and islands finally count. You can now add about 44 places that aren't their own country, plus Washington DC. Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Macau, Greenland, Guam, Aruba, the US and British Virgin Islands, French Polynesia, the Cayman Islands and more. They get their own count, so your country total stays honest. ALSO NEW Your map is on all your devices. Your countries and states now sync through your own iCloud, so a new phone or a reinstall comes back with your map already filled in. Nothing goes to a server of ours. Opens right on your map. Trāce starts on the world map now, and on iOS 26 the tab bar is real Liquid Glass. Places, grouped by continent. Each continent collapses and shows your progress, like Europe 18 of 44. Territories get their own group at the bottom. Better share cards. Your map is bigger, the layout is cleaner, and the install link sits up front so friends can actually find the app. A card worth posting from your first country. With only a few places marked, your card reads "3 and counting" instead of a percentage that makes a real trip look small. Works with Anticipāt. If you use it too, an upcoming trip there can suggest marking that country Booked here, and Visited once you're back. You always confirm, and it all happens on your device. Plus a clearer first run that spells out tap for Visited and press and hold for Lived, a tidier map key, and a smoother share and save flow.

FAQ

What is Trāce?

Trāce is a free travel app that allows you to create a personal map of all the countries and US states you have visited, lived in, passed through, or wish to visit. It visualizes your travel history and provides statistics on your progress.

How does Trāce track my travels?

You can tap on any country or US state on the map to set its status, such as 'Visited', 'Lived', 'Booked', 'Want to visit', or 'Transited'. The app then updates your map and statistics accordingly.

Can I use Trāce offline?

Yes, Trāce is designed to work offline. This means you can add places and update your map even when you don't have an internet signal, such as on a plane or in remote areas.

Does Trāce have ads?

No, Trāce is completely ad-free. The app is free to use and does not display any advertisements to its users.

Is my travel data private with Trāce?

Yes, Trāce is private by design. Your travel history stays on your device, and there is no account creation or sign-up required. The developers do not run ads or sell user data.

Can I share my travel map with others?

Absolutely. Trāce allows you to generate a clean, shareable image of your map in your chosen accent color. You can then share this image on platforms like Instagram, Messages, or anywhere else.

What statistics does Trāce provide?

Trāce keeps track of the number of countries and continents you've visited, as well as the percentage of the world you've covered. It also provides separate statistics for US states.

What devices does Trāce support?

Currently, Trāce is supported on iPhones. Future updates may expand compatibility to other devices.
