What's New in Trāce
1.2.0
September 7, 2026
Trāce has been redrawn. The map is the biggest change. The roads, buildings and points of interest are gone, so what's left is land, water, borders and names, painted in whichever theme you're using. It's a globe now, so you can spin it and zoom right in. FIVE THEMES Paper, Daybreak, Tide, Midnight and Ember, most with a light and a dark face. Your theme carries through the whole app, including your share card and the Trāce icon on your Home Screen. MARKING IS QUICKER Every status has its own mark, so you can read a list of countries without checking a key. Tap the box on the row to change it. No menus, no sheets. PLACES IS A CONTENTS PAGE All 242 places, grouped and searchable, and the search field is easy to get out of again. STATS READS AS A SENTENCE Your count and your real share of the world, set in one line instead of scattered across cards. ABOUT TRANSITED We've retired the Transited status. Anywhere you'd marked Transited now counts as Visited. Nothing was lost and the rest of your map is untouched. Plus a launch screen that matches your theme, a map key that shows the colours you'll actually see on the map, and a lot of small corrections that came out of using it on a real phone.

What is Trāce?
Trāce is a free travel app that allows you to create a personal map of all the countries and US states you have visited, lived in, passed through, or wish to visit. It visualizes your travel history and provides statistics on your progress.
How does Trāce track my travels?
You can tap on any country or US state on the map to set its status, such as 'Visited', 'Lived', 'Booked', 'Want to visit', or 'Transited'. The app then updates your map and statistics accordingly.
Can I use Trāce offline?
Yes, Trāce is designed to work offline. This means you can add places and update your map even when you don't have an internet signal, such as on a plane or in remote areas.
Does Trāce have ads?
No, Trāce is completely ad-free. The app is free to use and does not display any advertisements to its users.
Is my travel data private with Trāce?
Yes, Trāce is private by design. Your travel history stays on your device, and there is no account creation or sign-up required. The developers do not run ads or sell user data.
Can I share my travel map with others?
Absolutely. Trāce allows you to generate a clean, shareable image of your map in your chosen accent color. You can then share this image on platforms like Instagram, Messages, or anywhere else.
What statistics does Trāce provide?
Trāce keeps track of the number of countries and continents you've visited, as well as the percentage of the world you've covered. It also provides separate statistics for US states.
What devices does Trāce support?
