What's New in Rōute

1.2.0

September 29, 2026

Rōute used to tell you your flight was delayed. Now it tells you what that does to your evening. IT REACTS When a flight slips, Rōute recomputes the rest of the day and says the thing that actually matters: you land at 9:35 and your 8:00 dinner is forty minutes from the airport. Then it offers the obvious next move and lets you decide. RUNNING LATE IS A FACT TOO Tell Rōute you're behind and the whole day updates the same way. A slow lunch, a border queue, a taxi that never came. It applies to what's left of that day and nothing on the next one. AND IT STAYS QUIET A ten-minute delay that breaks nothing doesn't interrupt you. A delay that fixes itself never reaches you at all. When something does break, it's one notification that keeps getting more accurate rather than eight, it waits out quiet hours unless you'd need to act before you'd wake, and it always tells you why. THE DAY YOU'RE ON A trip opens on today. What's happening now is marked, when to leave sits on the way to each stop, and anything that changed is noted under the day it changed. Nothing is lost by the app staying quiet, because it's all there when you look. WHEN TO LEAVE Leave-by times computed from real travel time and recomputed whenever anything moves, not a fixed timer counting back from a booking. A NEW LOOK The day is a timetable now: times down a ruled column, booked and revised side by side when they differ. Eight faces across five themes, from cream paper to true black, and the widget, the Lock Screen and your Wrapped cards all print in the one you picked. ALSO • Sunrise, sunset and day length on each day. • Mark something tentative while you're still deciding. • Say who each item is for. • Add a flight by typing its number and the date. • When your airline emails a schedule change, share it to Rōute and it updates the flight you already have, from the share sheet or inside the app, instead of adding a second copy. You see what changed before it's saved. • No "head to the airport" reminder on the second leg of a connection, when you're already there. • On iPad, a trip gains a second column: the thing you opened, and that day's map under it. • On Apple Watch, the flight countdown in the Smart Stack has a layout of its own now, instead of the Dynamic Island's leftovers. • Duplicate a trip you take often. • Walking and driving legs are worked out properly now, including the 1 km that is really a ride because there's water in the way. Set how far you'll walk, and whether you have a car. • Times read in the right zone everywhere, including a trip that crosses the date line. • Bigger text no longer pushes anything off a row. The flight countdown on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island and Apple Watch now needs iOS 18. The home screen widget still works from iOS 16.

Does Rōute work without an internet connection?

Yes, Rōute is designed to work offline. All saved trip information is stored on your device, allowing you to access your itinerary, flight details, and notes even without a signal.

What kind of potential issues does Rōute detect?

Can I share my itinerary with others using Rōute?

Yes, you can export a clean PDF version of your itinerary to print or send to others. You can also get directions for individual stops and hand them off to various map applications.

What are the "Rōute Wrapped" and "Year in Travel" features?
