What's New in Track8

1.2.3

September 28, 2026

Runs on iPhone Track8 now runs on iPhone, in landscape and zoomed to the device panel. The new zoom button on iPad and Mac does the same: just the panel, as large as the window allows. The device no longer rotates with the iPad. Much lower latency BUFFER SIZE now sets the iOS audio buffer. New installs start at 64 samples on recent devices. If the sound crackles, pick a larger value. The AUDIO settings show your audio device by name and the real round-trip latency. AUv3 plugins as outboard gear Eight rack slots host Audio Unit instruments, effects and MIDI processors. Each plugin is wired like a hardware synth or pedal: into a track input, an insert, a send or the mix. MIDI controllers MIDI Learn and the MIDI DEVICE and CONTROL screens now work in the app with USB, Bluetooth and network MIDI, using the same mapping file as the hardware. Bluetooth controllers pair from the DEVICE screen. Multi-channel interfaces Every input and output of your interface is available, not just channels 1 and 2. MIDI Clipboard Modifier Copy a MIDI passage and mangle it before pasting: velocity, timing, transpose, filter, melodize, chord, strum, arpeggio, LFOs, echo, ratchet, chance, humanize and Euclidean rhythms. Audio Clipboard Modifier New SPECTR page (stretch, freeze, blur, spectral gate, tuned sieve, frequency shift, peaks), new VOICE page (chorus, flange, phaser, comb, formant, harmony, width) and TUNE for pitch correction. Fixes - Takes played back with a buzz on iPad and Mac. The recordings were fine. - Crackles at small buffer sizes on iPhone. - Touching an encoder after turning it no longer counts as a push. - Exporting to a folder now exports to that folder; realtime export works. - Renaming a project no longer quits the app. - On a Mac the app starts with an audio device at any sample rate.
