Top reviews

Excellent service

Complained about a faulty report and were very responsive, ultimately fixing the software to address the problem, which arose only in particular situations.

Difficult to use

Couldn’t add previous days easily.

Works well, useful update

Long term user of TrackingDays, I’m happy to recommend. It’s very reliable, the recent update was useful and allows you to set reminders for specific countries. I’ve had a few interactions with the developer and have always found them to be very helpful and responsive.

Works well long term and good recent update.

I’ve been a user of this App for a number of years, it’s been very reliable for me counting my UK nights and Schengen travel, it calculates Schengen automatically which I have not seen elsewhere.

The developer is active in responding if you contact them.

Recent update has nice addition.

Can’t read the privacy policy

Just downloaded the app and it asks for us to accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, but when I click to read them, nothing happens.

Useful update

I’ve used this App for a number of years to track
my UK days and Schengen days, it’s works well for needs. Good to see the developer is active in improving and adding new features.

Works long term

Good new update, more of the same please. 👍

I’ve been using this App for a few years now to track my UK nights and Schengen, I find it very reliable. The developer also appears to be active in updating and adding features.

Cant delete or edit

What a load of rubbish, can’t be that hard to have a working app , tried to add some more previous travel , it’s the hardest thing ever , also cannot delete or restore , yes I paid

History lost

The app is simple to use, great display, auto tracks, however all history disappeared after a few days after putting in 6 months of back data.

Was super reliable. Now it needs to get back to it.

This app was always super reliable and I hope it will work again like it soon. You’ve pushed the date for the fix multiple times and even today (I assume with the newest version) I get unverified trips. I don’t want an app that I need to open every other day to ensure it works. Either it will do it job like in the past or at least be honest to your clients that this will not be possible anymore due to the changes.

Response from developer

Dear Michael, Thank you for your message and sorry for the ongoing issues you are experiencing with the App. To update you on where we are today: I’ll quickly repeat for others reading this, unfortunately Apple recently made changes to iOS that affected how we can access background information, this resulted in iOS disabling the App’s background tracking and created Unverified Trips. We apologise for the issues this has caused and we are working on improved solutions. Since learning of the iOS changes we quickly built two updates using ‘Apple approved’ tracking API’s, these both worked initially, but over a longer period, both also appear to also disable tracking in some instances. This is not acceptable to us, but at this time it is a temporary tracking solution for the App. We have added notifications to the App, if you receive a notification please open the App and or restart the App, this will force a location and restart tracking if iOS has disabled it. Separately we are in the process of building a new server based system that will provide more reliable tracking. This will still be 100% private and anonymous. As a small start up it will realistically take us 3 weeks to build, test and release this new process, although we will of course try to deliver this more quickly. Although this may not be the timescale for a full fix that you are looking for, I hope that with this you have a more clear explanation of where we are and with this you can make an informed decision. We continue to thank you and all of our customers for their ongoing support and patience on an issue that was not of our making, but that we are working hard to fix. With thanks The TrackingDays Team.

You had one job

This is a paid app that can't even do the one job it has. I constantly have to manually chose the countries I've traveled to.

Response from developer

Hello Appmaster, Please download the available update in store. We apologise for this issue experienced over the past month. This was caused by changes on Apple’s side to how we are able to use and access the devices background tracking information. Due to the Apple changes, iOS was independently disabling background tracking in the App. As a result for some users it was necessary to manually verify travel. We have built a fix for this issue and released it to the App Store. We will continue to improve this fix in the coming weeks. Once more our apologies for this issue, which sadly was not of our making. Please go ahead and download the update in the App Store and also future updates as they are released over the coming weeks. Thank you The TrackingDays Team.

At the moment, my app fundamentally does not

I use this app and my husband uses a similar app called flamingo. Almost every few days I have to manually verify my location whilst my husband’s app works almost seamlessly and has done since we both installed them. Tracking our days is really important to us and the idea of having two separate apps is to make sure that we get information that is both accurate and that we can rely on.

Unfortunately, we cannot rely on this app and the information is not accurate unless you Manually, input dates every few days. So there is little value in buying, downloading or subscribing to this app at the moment. It is imperative the apps like this work seamlessly and if they don’t they should be removed from the App Store.

This app is so poor it’s a lawsuit in the making, when somebody gets an unexpected tax bill, terms and conditions will not protect this company, an app that is a fundamentally pointless is best misleading, this app unfortunately is a prime example.

Improving all the time

The App shows on a map where you are every hour of more often, so you can see exactly where you are to report days spent in a country over the course if one year. The software development is keen to improve and will adopt and action requests to improve. Very pleased.

This app could be wonderful but…

I can’t even get it to work on my new iPhone despite having paid yearly subscriptions for it in multiple region’s app stores. I’m happy to pay, but need an app that actually works.

Great app

I’ve been using TrackingDays for about 1.5 years now and I’m just happy with it. It does what it promises, has quite an easy interface and doesn’t consume battery.
I had an issue with it once and it was resolved the best and most polite way possible <3

Terrible interface

It’s a really Basic app with a terrible interface and seems to be created to work with a small subset of people.

Works for what I need

If you need this app, it will work well for you. Good customer support.
4 stars as would like a few more features.

Awful

Terrible. Do not subscribe.
