Great collar

Shows you everything you need to know to safely monitor your kitty cat

Expensive and difficult to cancel

The price structure is ridiculous as they want a fortune per month if you pay monthly. Cheap prices are only if you give them hundreds of pounds up front.

Our new cat hasn’t ran away when we let her out so it was only needed for a month. In the end it was an easy decision not to continue with this due to their pricing structure.

The cancellation process was ridiculous. It is hidden very well (you have to go to the website, then it is hidden under a “more actions” drop down and then you are asked about 5 times if you would like to give them more money.

Not many companies have irritated me as much as these guys. Good riddance.

Best GPS tracker on the market

I did some research and this company has the best GPS tracker for pets. So far, my family and I are having peace of mind letting our cat roam outside. It’s very interesting seeing where he goes or where he is at in the moment with the live tracker. I’m very happy with my purchase of the collar and the required subscription. There’s many features to this app whether it’s the territory info, being able to set no-go zones, pining your tracker with sound or lighting the tracker up while your cat/dog is wearing it. Excited to use all the features and have easy access to my cat’s data.

New tracker needs some work

I love the new design and look, but one of my trackers today would not track for two hours. My cat came home while the tracker was saying it was not here. I lost two other trackers that fell off a cat and I had to go hunt it down. I’m sure they’ll figure this out, but it’s frustrating until then.

Not bad, a little buggy

I've been using two trackers for about four years. Even with Wi-Fi safe zones enabled, Bluetooth, and satellite, I find the trackers to not always be that accurate, sometimes within hundreds of yards. But the issue is intermittent. The batteries are not terribly robust. I have had to replace the trackers almost every year d/t quickly draining battery, inaccurate battery percentage, and problems with location accuracy when the battery isn't functioning optimally. I have Tractive Care, which is a paid warranty - about the cost of a new tracker per year. The problem is customer service is abysmally slow. Sometimes it's weeks before I get a response to multiple tickets I have to submit because I don't even receive a confirmation that my Support inquiry was received. The company would do better having a more streamlined efficient process rather than having to human touch everything. Or make trackers with better battery life.

Waste of money

We purchased 2 for our kittens, ready for when we let them out. One of the kittens is very much roaming. When we use the app to see where she is, it tells us she is at home. So we ignore the app and wander around till we find her. Complete waste of money.

Not great

Maybe it would be ok if you have a big property but we live in a neighborhood. I have our safe zone as our whole cul de sac but I’m constantly getting notifications that our dog is out of the safe zone even when he’s sitting right in front of us in the living room. I try to look up where he has been and it shows large marks where it looks like he would’ve had to go through all the fences in a straight line through our neighborhood when I know he hasn’t left our yard. So I’m not loving it. I would think it wouldn’t be hard to be more accurate. Like at least within our yard which is pretty big.

Batteries are terrible

While the tracker itself works well in my experience, be ready to replace it every 1-2 years. I have gone through several and they all get to a point where they cannot charge completely, or they drain twice as fast. I have two cats with trackers purchased around the same time. One is functioning fine, and the other drains battery within a few hours and takes exponentially longer to charge. And it’s one I have already replaced in the past due to battery issues. Super disappointed with the quality and if I ever find a competitive product I wouldn’t think twice about switching.

Update the app, please

I go to bed with my cat and she goes outside obviously and I need to find her. It’s just this stupid app. It’s not letting me track her or or let me Bluetooth. It won’t let me do anything because of the power saving mode. It won’t even respond half of the time like that.

Support helped me

I didn’t know I needed to create a password but the app didn’t say that so a person contacted me via email and told me. I created a password and from there it took minutes to set up. The app works, Nina is listed and I tested the features. Everything worked smoothly. I plan to set up the virtual fence. ( I’m going to walk it myself bc she’s 14 yo )That way if I don’t see her I will know what to eliminate. I wish the Bluetooth would work at more distance. So I take back my 1 star. It’s 4 star bc of the loop I got stuck in. I’m not always so app savvy.

App just spins circle of death trying to active

App just spins when trying to active .. so you have to use safari and login to website. You can’t just buy a month by month , have to sign up for 1 ,2 years and can’t use my apple account to pay as site wants PayPal . Really disappointed . If I can’t get app to work on iPhone (with latest release ) soon , back to store for a refund tomorrow. App just gives a spinning circle when you try to active

Battery & notification issues

Having fully charged the tracker (my second after the first had to be replaced within 2 months for battery issues) it ran out within just a few days. The app occasionally tells you that the battery is getting low but I think that it should always alert you once it gets to 20%. It’s also slow with notifications - I have safe zones set up and often get notifications that my dog has entered or left a safe zone over an hour later.

The GPS never worked

I don’t know if it’s because I am rural. I don’t know if it is because I have Starlink. But the collar never worked in the company wouldn’t help me. As an aside, they don’t offer any phone support. Horrible and the customer service girl Nicole couldn’t even handle reading and answering my questions!

Over the moon

Was hesitant initially due to the up front large cost but I could not be happier, it does exactly what I needed it to do, track our male cat.

Not reliable at all

The worst company to deal with when there’s issues. They ignore you for days on end when there’s quite blatantly issues with the software of the collar putting my cats safety and wellbeing at risk. Then then openly state that there’s issues with the tracker in my location because of houses I literally live near 25 houses stretched out along a massive open field so if there’s issues in an area that’s not built up id hate to think of how these things work in a built up area. The whole point of these trackers are supposed to be so if your pet goes off, you can track them through open fields ect. Well don’t waste your money on the Tractive mini 6 because it’s not fit for purpose

Not great so far……

Tracking is very out and this shows walking though and over buildings and houses so not accurate at all, even using LIVE it is not good at all either.
I really hope we don’t lose the dog as can’t trust the tracking element to know where he would be at all.
Also we have a safe zone setup and this constantly alerts that he has left the safe zone which he hasn’t at all and again cannot be trusted.

Not impressed at all and for the money you pay for this service is not good.

Reliable

This tracker works great, even in a wooded area. I feel a lot more at ease with this. The only con is that it is bigger and heavier than the 1st version. And the rubber arms to attach it wear. Been using this for over 2 yrs, and wouldn’t switch

Works great

We live in the country and I was very afraid it wasn’t going to work deep in woods where my bloodhound goes. And this morning it worked perfectly. I went right to her. Thank god because she was about to have a heat stroke.

Terrible tracking precision

Rarely gets gps even though I’m right in the middle of the city and constantly shows cat to be where he is NOT. Useless.

A must have tool

Tractive is a necessity, especially if you live in a neighborhood with lots of places for cats to hide. Somewhat tricky to set up, but once you get it set up properly, it works great every time.
