Good concept but currently unsafe

With no way to upload pics later, it gives the exact risk we are trying to avoid. Without giving the app immediate access to your camera it seems to be unusable without that access.

Needs an upgrade; not friendly with iOS26

Needs an upgrade; I cannot get past a window trying to instruct how to use the photo library. I am using iOS26 on an iPhone 17pro and as it is, the App doesn’t work.

Slow to upload

I use it regularly and will continue to use it. It generally takes a full minute or so to upload and that’s no problem. However maybe <5% of the time I am unable to upload after several attempts. I don’t know whether there is something I am doing wrong or if it’s the app.

Glitchy

Needs to fix glitches. Can’t get the advice box to move off screen so pics can be taken.

Confirmation?

I love this concept and want to spread the word, but I don't know if my uploads are even getting through. I always have to try resubmitting several times, as I'm extremely thorough with my documentation and I assume it's just taking a while and my phone's going to sleep. However, the one time I finally don't get the error message in the upload, there's no message to tell me I succeeded, and nothing in the menu/FAQ to give me any clue.

Please keep this going! Knowing that trafficking exists has completely ruined the enjoyment of hotels for me. This is the one thing that gives me an ounce of peace, believing that my stay might be the key to rescuing someone from their living nightmare.

FAQ

What does TraffickCam do?

TraffickCam allows users to upload photos of hotel rooms they stay in. These images are compiled into a database that investigators can search to identify locations where victims of sex trafficking are photographed and advertised online.

How does uploading photos help combat human trafficking?

Traffickers often post photos of victims in hotel rooms for online advertisements. By uploading these images, TraffickCam helps create a visual database that investigators can use to pinpoint the exact hotel and room where the photos were taken, providing crucial evidence.

Is TraffickCam free to use?

Yes, TraffickCam is a free application. There are no costs associated with downloading or using the app, and it does not feature in-app purchases or advertisements.

What kind of information can investigators find using the app?

Investigators can use the database to find other images taken in the same hotel room as an image from an ongoing investigation. This allows them to determine the location of the crime and potentially identify victims and perpetrators.
