About

Trailway plans bike rides, walks and runs on Ohio's paths and trails and records every one. Routes stay on protected paths wherever they can, and every stretch of street or sidewalk is flagged before you leave, so there are no surprises. PLAN A ROUTE • Search any place in Ohio and get three routes to choose from: Most protected, Balanced and Most direct. Each shows its time, distance and share on protected paths. • Pick Bike, Walk or Run next to Start. On foot, sidewalks count like paths and one-way streets go both ways. • A color bar shows the route from start to finish in order: blue for protected paths, then bike lanes, shared streets and sidewalks exactly where they fall. • Add up to 8 stops. Leave now or plan ahead up to 6 days. • Weather for when you'll get there: temperature, rain chance, and how much of the way is headwind, crosswind or tailwind. SEE IT BEFORE YOU GO • Every section off a protected path gets a heads-up card and a rotating 3D Flyover preview. • Fly over the whole route from start to finish. • Ohio DOT traffic cameras and road work near the route (OHGO), weather radar with a 3-hour forecast loop, and Standard, Satellite or Topographic maps. BUILD YOUR OWN • Drop pins or draw with your finger. The route follows the calmest paths along your line, and on roads with no trail nearby it simply follows the road. • Save routes and ride, edit or fly over them later. GO: BIKE, WALK OR RUN • The Go tab records bike rides, walks and runs, with this week's totals for each. • The map on top with turn-by-turn directions, spoken cues in Apple's most natural voices, and street-section warnings. • Live speed for rides and pace for walks and runs, plus time, distance, calories and heart rate. • Add a stop on the way and Trailway reroutes. • Pause, or hold END for 3 seconds to finish. Your activity stays on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. • Share it live with followers, or with family through a private link. APPLE WATCH AND APPLE HEALTH • The Trailway Watch app starts with your ride, walk or run, shows heart rate, calories, stats and turns, and pauses and ends with your iPhone. • Activities save to Apple Health as cycling, walking or running workouts with route and heart rate. • Import past activities from Apple Health (including Garmin and other apps), or from GPX, TCX and FIT files. YOUR JOURNAL AND PROFILE • Every activity is saved with its route map, times, distance, speed or pace, elevation, heart-rate zones and calories. • Your profile adds up biking, walking and running: total miles, time, climb and longest distance for each. • Add photos, and keep the songs you listened to on Apple Music as the soundtrack. • Track bikes, shoes and other gear, with odometers, shoe mileage and tune-up reminders. WITH FRIENDS • Post activities to your feed automatically when they end, or approve each one first. Posts show the map with your stats and photos to swipe through. • Follow friends, like and comment, and open any post for the full activity with speed and elevation charts. • Star your favorites to hear when they finish an activity or go live. • Find friends from your contacts, and see your followers and who you follow in People. • Message other people on Trailway. Messages are end-to-end encrypted. • Hide the start and end of a shared route to keep your home private, or share without the map. • Turn any activity into a share graphic, in the design you like best, and send it in Messages. SAFETY • Share your location with up to five emergency contacts on every ride. • Optional fall detection on bike rides alerts your emergency contacts if you don't answer after a hard fall. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • Activities, routes, gear and Health data stay on your iPhone. Only what you choose to share appears on Social. • No ads and no tracking. What's New in Trailway

1.2.1

A new opening: the Trailway logo, with the name rising from behind the mountains and gliding straight into the Go screen. Quicker to get going, by day or by night.
