What's New in Training Load & Recovery

2.3

June 11, 2026

- The coach now keeps TSB and ATL-vs-CTL percentage clearly separate, reducing wrong load and recovery interpretations. - Recommendations use training load, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and muscle feedback, recent workouts, and goal context more consistently. - Metric refreshes and missing data are handled more transparently so coach answers stay fresher and easier to verify. - Coach Chat now stays anchored more reliably when new answers arrive and loads older messages without jumpy scrolling. - Technical JSON payloads are no longer briefly shown in the chat; coach answers are rendered as clean, readable messages.

Some useful insights

Updating to reflect the app is back on track

It gives a good measure of how consistent and focused I have been. Where, unfortunately, a good measure doesn’t mean I’ve been good and consistent—some travel and giving in to cold weather has meant I’ve cut back and the app shows it pretty clearly. Response from developer

Hi Walt, thanks again for your email and for reporting the issue. Just a quick update: the bug you described has already been fixed in a recent update. The incorrect training load data was caused by an iOS-related issue and should no longer occur. If you have a moment to try the latest version and the app is working as expected again, I’d really appreciate it if you could consider updating your review. It helps a lot as an indie developer. Thanks for your feedback and your patience!

Bug (new in Version 1.17?) has destroyed it

My net training load now has some absurdly high data and multiple paths that confound interpretation. I suspect my early data got garbled.

My Fitness app is also confused, so perhaps this is due to a new iOS bug. Whatever, the app has gone near useless on me
