Doesn’t read run workouts

Most of my lengthy runs are on the weekend I’ve had this app for 3 weeks and it doesn’t sync all workouts I noticed most weekend workouts don’t load. Hard to evaluate true data when it’s not capturing it all. There is no back up way to import the data either.

Response from developer

Hi, and thank you for reporting this. I can see that you’re using the latest version of the app. We released a major workout-sync update on August 2, but unfortunately App Store automatic updates do not always install immediately. If you updated only very recently, please consider giving the app another try with your next run, as workouts missed before the update may not appear retroactively. If the missing workouts are indoor treadmill runs, please start them using the dedicated indoor-run feature in the True VO2 Max Apple Watch app. Indoor runs recorded only through Apple Workout or another app currently won’t appear as indoor sessions in True VO2 Max. However, if new outdoor run workouts are still missing, please email truevo2max@gmail.com with the affected workout dates, and any relevant screenshots, such as the True VO2 Max home page and the workout page from Apple Fitness/Health. We’d be very glad to investigate. We also appreciate your suggestion for a backup import or rescan option and will take into account adding one in a future update. Thank you for the helpful feedback, and we’re sorry for the frustration.

Apple should buy this

Great app. Very helpful. I was puzzled when Apple’s estimate of my VO₂ Max started going down despite no changes in my training plan. It occurred to me that this coincided with a heat wave but it seemed inconceivable that Apple would not factor that in. Wrong. This app convinced me that I was not doing anything wrong and now that the weather has cleared up, Apple’s estimate is catching up. Thanks to the developer for saving me from changing something that has been working.

Nice app but needs better sync!

I love the app when it works, but I often have trouble with it not reading recent outdoor runs or walks where there is indeed a VO2Max score. I use the same tracking method, Apple Watch Series 11, iPhone 17 Pro Max, tracked with the Fitness app every single time. Currently it only shows runs through early last week when I have had 3 outdoor runs since then. There is no refresh button, all permissions are granted, no changes made.

Response from developer

Hi Mark, thank you for the feedback! We just completely rebuilt workout syncing in our latest update to make importing runs and walks from Apple Health and the Fitness app faster and more reliable. If you still experience any issues, please email us directly at truevo2max@gmail.com and we will happily jump in to help!

Not great

The app doesn’t see indoor workouts even with a paid membership, it’s simple won’t take into account count your treadmill runs. This app should be free until everything is fixed and works as advertised.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for your feedback, and I am very sorry for the frustration. I want to sort this out as soon as possible for you. To track your treadmill runs correctly, please ensure the True VO2 Max app is installed directly on your Apple Watch. You will need to use our watch app to record your treadmill sessions instead of the native Apple Fitness app. If you are already doing this and it still is not working, please email us at truevo2max@gmail.com. To help us troubleshoot, please include your iPhone and Apple Watch models, along with screenshots of the Indoor Settings tab from the True VO2 Max app on your phone. We want to get this fixed for you right away.

Love the app!

It’s amazing that it factors in elevation and temperature during the run. Easy to use and set up!
