Opportunities to Improve
Consider applying more UI (User Interface) best practices, especially Apple HIG (Human Interface Guidelines); e.g., make the play/pause control a button instead of a “number 11/greater than” graphic; some fonts are too small to read when screen is dimmed; add a “Next segment button “>>” instead of swiping; make a “rewind 5 or 10 minutes button” available for appropriate timer segment; add seconds to the countdown timer; avoid superfluous animations (it takes 12 seconds to start the timer function and the animation during timer segments doesn’t provide useful information - eyes are closed anyway!).
Please provide the option to disable the app from overriding/locking out the phone’s volume control (currently, the app locks out the phone’s volume controls; manually delaying or advancing segments causes multiple/parallel timers to run so that unwanted chimes go off in the middle of segments (and the final audio playback track plays two versions slightly offset from each other); keep the volume the same when putting in earphones (currently, the app changes volume on its own when inserting AirPods in the ear); make the volume slider control less sensitive.
I look forward to a future version where the timer is as simple and effortless (and frictionless) as the meditation technique!

Appreciation
I’ve been using this app since 2020. It’s so surreal to listen to Bob’s intellectual world view on “the genius of nature”.
🙏🏽U r appreciated

A great renewal! A wonderful practice!
TM Review
A rare, elegant home run.
Then there’s this app.
It’s one of the most beautifully designed pieces of software I’ve used in a long time. The interface is quiet in all the right ways—soft, subtle, deeply considered, and somehow reassuring without ever asking for attention. Before you’ve even begun meditating, the app has already lowered your blood pressure a few points.
The meditation practice itself has been equally transformative, but I’d be remiss not to applaud the design team. They understood the assignment.
A rare, elegant home run.

Good but not perfect
Connection with other students
I thought the app would connect me with other students of TM. Having community around something like TM would be so beneficial for keeping the habit of twice a day consistent. ***Consider adding a social interaction section to the app for students to connect and build community around their practice. I understand not wanting us to instruct others on how to use the TM technique. However having specific Mods or only allowing Teachers to respond & help those individuals would alleviate this issue. Having a community note — that the social aspect isn’t for instructing other students could be beneficial as well.
***Add a speed playback option to the videos in the app. Some folks speak incredibly fast, and some not fast enough. For those of us with neurodivergent learning needs, adding this would make utilizing the Library more accessible.
These are some of the things I was expecting when I downloaded the app, and was hoping you would consider adding at some point. I enjoy the app for what it does offer and I use it twice a day for those reasons. (The timer, the library, the events)
Thank you for reading my suggestions.

The Complete TM App
Great resource
Magical mystery tour
This app is quite extraordinary in that there seems to be an almost infinite amount of information to be found, with suggestions of what else
I have read three books the app recommended and all were excellent. It really helps to deepen the TM experience.
When I chose to learn this technique, one of the persuasions was the app, which some reviews and a bit of faith (as you don’t see it until you have done the course,) really does return its’ promise.
Love the TM App
Maharishi the great!
Just had a beautiful meditation session.
Excited
Perfect Companion to beginner practice
I also really enjoy Bob’s stories at the beginning and poems or sayings at conclusion.
How is there no dark mode?
Grateful
