I tried this for Vietnamese and a lot is still lost in translation unless u know how the Vietnamese language works.
Excellent translator
I have used this translator on my iPhone and iPad for over a year, and I depend upon it heavily to help me understand Japanese. It quickly and effortlessly renders Japanese in all three forms into an English translation. It caps it off with a hiragana rendering of whatever Japanese you’re trying to learn. If you push one more button, you can listen to the Japanese words in Japanese, or to the English translation. I have typed full sentences in or copied and pasted them and received a two or three sentence translation, and it has never responded by saying, “ this is too much, or this is too long or too big for me to translate.” this program has translated entire paragraphs for me without a hiccup. What great value for a free app.

The AI is very bad. When translating you have access to great ChatGPT languages, but in traditional cGPT, the grammar is awful and can only answer certain questions. This is in August 2026
