Needs improvement

I been on this app a couple of weeks spoke to a loads of trans women one who I reported is threatening to share inappropriate pictures of me all over social media platforms and another women is trying to sell me sex videos for money I have had serval conversations on here a none of the conversations were about dating it’s supposed to be a dating app not a sex buisness

Actually felt safe enough to be myself

I've had TransMe for a few months now, and I still remember the first night I opened it. I was nervous – not because of the app, but because I'd never been on a platform built specifically for people like me. I didn't know what to expect.

First match messaged me about the book I had in my profile photo. We talked for two hours about sci-fi novels and terrible movie adaptations. No weird questions, no awkward pauses. Just two people nerding out. We met for coffee a week later, and it was surprisingly easy. He asked about my job, my family, my dog – all normal stuff. I didn't feel like I had to explain myself or defend my existence.

That didn't turn into a relationship, but it showed me what dating could feel like without the usual weight. Since then, I've had a few more matches and every single conversation has been respectful. The photo blur feature gave me control before I was ready to fully show my face. The report button actually works – I tested it once and the profile was gone within hours.

Only downside: the app can be a little slow sometimes, and the interface feels a bit basic. Could use a cleaner design and maybe faster loading times. But honestly, that's minor.

The real thing is this – for the first time, I didn't feel like I was being evaluated. I just felt like a person. And that's more than any other space ever gave me.

TransMe actually hits different.

I was completely over dating apps. Like, done. Every single one felt like a playground for chasers—or people who’d ask invasive questions before we even exchanged five messages.

Then my friend made me download TransMe. I rolled my eyes, but fine.

Night and day. The very first person to message me asked about my dog. Not my body. Not my surgery status. Not “so what are you.” Just: “What’s your dog’s name?” That has literally never happened to me.

We talked for about two weeks, then met up for tacos. He showed up on time, brought his pup too, and didn't make a single weird comment all night. We’ve been together three months now, and he’s never once made me feel like being trans is something to tiptoe around.

TransMe isn’t huge, and honestly, that’s why it works. People are respectful. The mods actually ban the creeps. It genuinely feels like a real community.

If you’re trans, nonbinary, or just tired of the usual garbage, give it a try. It finally feels safe out here.

Pull out your credit card

This app will make you waste your time in setting up an account to make you pay to message anyone! You can’t see anyone close to you just the whole world on the other side of where you are and don’t worry you can’t see any likes, views or even fill out your profile with out the app restrictions of basic words you can’t use in the about me section. If you want to do anything in this app be prepared to pay for any use of this app you may as well pay to download the app as well because that’s what you’re going to do anyways.

Response from developer

Dear User, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your honest experience with Transme. We sincerely apologise for any frustration you have felt, and we would like to clarify our actual policies in a straightforward way: 1. Free messaging for new users – We limit the number of free messages per day solely to prevent bots, spam, and malicious harassment. This is not a way to force payment. The free quota is enough for a first impression; if you want deeper conversations, you may purchase additional credits – it's entirely your choice. 2. Spark and distance settings – Spark recommendations are always based on the geographic distance you set. In large cities, you will naturally see many nearby users. If you live in a less populated area, we strongly suggest expanding your search radius manually in Settings – this will show you more real people from farther away. We also plan to add clearer distance hints in a future update to guide you better. 3. Keyword filters in profiles – These filters exist to reduce fraud, hate speech, and discrimination, keeping our community safe. We know they can occasionally block legitimate phrases, so we review our word list every quarter and offer a manual appeal channel. However, we will never remove all restrictions because safety is our top priority. 4. "Who liked me" visibility – This is a premium feature because it involves heavy data processing and privacy protection costs. But we have introduced a rewarding alternative: log in for 7 consecutive days and you will receive 1 full day of VIP membership for free. During that VIP day, you can see all your likes and visits, plus enjoy every other privilege we offer. We are fully aware that any paid design can feel stressful, yet our core goal is to sustain a safe, authentic, and inclusive transgender dating space. We stand firm by our mission – help more trans people find real connection!

Honestly wasn’t expecting much

Look i’ve tried a bunch of dating stuff before and it was always the same — weird messages, people asking invasive questions right away, or guys who just wanted something secret. so i wasn't really excited about transme at first. but my friend kept telling me to just make a profile so i did.

put up a pic of me at a concert, wrote something dumb about loving iced coffee and my cat. and idk something about this app feels different. people actually read your bio. first guy who messaged me asked what show i was at in my photo. that’s it. no weird stuff. we talked for like a week before meeting up.

when we finally hung out he brought me an iced coffee. didn't ask a single weird question. just wanted to know about my cat's name. we've been seeing each other for a couple months now and he's never once made me feel like i have to explain myself.

transme isn't perfect but it's the only place i've felt like just a normal person dating. if you're trans or nonbinary or just tired of the usual nonsense, give it a shot.
