About
You say "five more minutes." They nod. The timer hits zero. The screen goes dark. And somehow — every single time — it's a surprise. The negotiating starts. The meltdown follows. And you end up the villain again.
It's not defiance. For kids with ADHD, time blindness is real — their brain genuinely doesn't feel minutes passing. An abrupt ending doesn't feel like a timer running out. It feels like an ambush.
That's what Tranzit is built for.
HOW IT WORKS
Tranzit runs on a separate iPhone or iPad — a companion device that sits next to your kid while they play or watch. Pick a screen time length, optionally pick what your kid’s transitioning to next, and tap start. From that moment on, Tranzit quietly does the work of making "time's up" stop being a surprise:
• A calm voice announces checkpoints ("ten minutes left… five minutes left…")
• The screen shifts from green to yellow to red as the clock winds down
• At zero, Tranzit announces the end and beeps until you cancel
Your kid's brain gets the runway it needs to land on its own — so by the time the screen goes dark, the transition has already happened.
WHO IT'S FOR
Tranzit is designed for families with kids ages 6–12, where screen-time transitions are often hardest. Tranzit especially resonates with families affected by ADHD or time blindness — but plenty of neurotypical kids can benefit too.
WHAT YOU NEED
• A spare iPhone or iPad (old ones work great)
• Nothing else — Tranzit runs fully on-device, no internet required
WHAT YOU GET
• Progressive voice warnings with multiple voice options
• Green → yellow → orange → red screen that's visible from across the room
• Biometric lock so the timer can't be cancelled mid-session by curious hands
• One-time purchase — no subscription, no ads, no trackers
• Private by design — your settings and session history stay on your device
A GENTLE NOTE
Tranzit is a tool, not a replacement for parental judgment or professional advice. It's not a medical device. It's the scaffold a lot of families wish they'd had years ago — a structured hand-off that turns "time's up" from an ambush into a landing.
Tonight could be different.
