Tolle App mit Potential

Benutze die App jetzt fast ein Jahr im Abo. Zum Ansehen der Fotos auf der Karte ist das sehr schön, leider hat sich die Video Export Funktion nicht besonders weiterentwickelt. Ich hatte gehofft, dass auch Haltepunkte definiert werden können und das/ die entsprechenden Fotos eingeblendet werden können. Dann wäre die Exportfunktion toll. Auch das Abfahren der Karte könnte optimiert werden. Das dauernde drehen der Karte ist für ein Routenvideo zu unruhig. Schade hatte gehofft, dass ich mit der App meine Reisevideo Erstellung beschleunigen könnte. Leider ist das aktuell nicht möglich. Werd wohl das Abo jetzt auslaufen lassen 🤷🏻‍♂️.

App stürzt immer ab

Leider ist die App so nicht brauchbar, da diese jedes Mal beim Versuch einen „Trip“ zu erstellen abstürzt. Vielleicht ist diese auch mit über 2500 Fotos für einen Trip überfordert. Die aktuelle Hardware ist ein iPad Pro 11“ M2. Die App liest noch die Fotodaten aus und danach schließt sie sich bzw. stürzt ab. Leider hab ich anscheinend die Pro Version vor zwei Jahren umsonst gekauft, ich weiß aber das diese damals zumindest mal funktionierte. Als Hardware wurde damals ein iPad Pro 9,7“ verwendet.

Edit: Release 1.9.4 änderte leider auch nichts, stürzt immer noch ab

A fan of the app

There aren’t many apps in this domain (a trip photos and videos organizer by location, with “at a glance” overview of the trip on a map), and with good privacy protection. Thanks to the feature to select photos in a date range, you can have a trip defined literally within seconds.
A trip definition is a collection of references to, ie, not copies of, desired photos and videos, either manually selected or picked up from a specified date interval, hence, a minuscule additional demand on the phone’s memory.
On the overview map of the trip, multiple photos are grouped within circles, each circle containing photos within a radius that is specified by the user. The circles are connected (automatically) by lines that show a mode of transportation between them, eg., by car, walking, etc. These modes can be user defined.
The developer has been very responsive to suggestions, and answering clarifying questions.
The best is to use the free trial to assess if this is the app for you. Although it may not be obvious, there is an option to purchase a life time license.

Génial je kiff je suis globe trotteur débutant et avoir un historique photo en mode map je trouve ça géniale surement il y a des améliorations à faire mais pour le moment j’en vois pas donc 5 stars !!!

Fantastic concept, makes viewing photos on a map really easy

I love the concept of this app, it does just what I need. The developer is also VERY responsive and fixes glitches quickly.

I am looking forward to being able to remove the default location labels (sourced from openmaps I think and often inaccurate or misspelled) in bulk, and also possibly higher resolution photos when shared to the web.

I fantastic way to share where you have been and what you saw on your trip.

Almost there

Need ability to have a select all button so I don’t have to select 1000 photos manually. Need to be able to add photos to an already created trip or I have to regenerate whole thing. Simple changes will go a long way.

Thanks for your review. In the latest version, you can now add more photos to a trip or include a separate track. Unfortunately, Apple's photo selection doesn't provide this functionality out of the box. However, as a workaround, the fastest way to select all 1,000 photos is to tap on a photo and swipe over the others. With your other hand, you can scroll down. This way, you can select many photos in under 5 seconds.

Superb : It’s what I would have built

When I retired in June 2023 had an idea of building an app which plotted my travels using the information from photos I’d taken along the way.

Today (Feb 2024) I began researching what I needed to make the idea real.

Instead I found this app. It’s precisely the features I had in mind.

Brilliant.

And although I hit a bug, I contacted the developer who replied in quick time and now has a new version coming out with the fix included.

So good I immediately paid for the unlimited full pro version. Happy to reward the developer.

Nette Übersichtskarte

Nach Rückantwort mit dem Entwickler ist diese Karte das Ziel. Das hab ich so nicht verstanden.

Wenn es also darum geht eine Übersicht des Wanderweges zu bekommen, ist die Idee wirklich gut. Man kann es somit auch gut als Übersichtskarte ins Album integrieren.

Laut Entwickler kommen nach und nach noch weitere Funktionen. Bin gespannt wo der Weg hinführt.

Als Übersicht ist es sehr nett anzusehen. Werde ich sicherlich des Öfteren nutzen. Danke

Danke für deine Mitteilung. Eine Übersichts-Wanderbild war auch die Grundidee der App! Immerhin das hat geklappt. Da ich als Einzelentwickler mit Herzblut daran bin kann und will ich nicht von Anfang an die App mit Features überfüllen 😉 Manchmal erhoffe ich mir auch bisschen Verständnis erst recht wenn man die App kostenlos bekommt 😅 Die App wird noch das eine oder andere Feature bekommen keine Angst.

Interesting, not amazing

Asks you to select photos to place on the map and then traces a route between each place, based on whether you say you walked or drove. Strangely does not include the 1st photo you select, which appears to be completely ignored. Another weird thing is that you cannot add/remove photos in the trip after it is created. In any case, that is the extent of the functionality. Feels a little limited and manual where you have to specify the name of the trip and select all the relevant photos. I would expect at least a default for the trip name, based on starting/ending location and date/time. It would also be nice to get a few parameters from the photo, such as altitude and EXIF data. Even better if you could select a single photo and let the app pick the rest, based on location and date.

Great App - Why isn’t this Pre-Installed ,

Fantastic app - works really well by enabling you to view your travel pictures on a map… one of the best apps available. Try this - you won’t be disappointed. A+ from me.

lief die App endlich … . Danke für die schnelle Antwort. Es gibt jedoch zu viel was mir nicht gefällt, wie nur Vollzugriff auf die Fotos. Wie nur Auto oder Gehen. Merkwürdige Routen. (Offenbar war ich in Norwegen stockbesoffen und bin mehrere Male um verschiedene Häuser im Kreis gelaufen!?) Da muß noch eine Korrekturmöglichkeit für die Route rein.

Danke für das update! Vollzugriff ist momentan nur nötig dass es einfacher geht die Fotos nach einem Ort zu filtern. Erlaube ich limitierten Zugriff werden trotzdem alle Fotos zu diesem Ort angezeigt und es gibt dann noch mehr Verwirrung. Aber ich werde da bestimmt mal versuchen eine eigene Lösung zu liefern. Aber keine Angst auch mit Vollzugriff mache ich nichts mit deinen Fotos. Auch was du in Norwegen machst weis ich somit nicht :) Weitere Features werden bestimmt im neuen Jahr kommen!

Gerate App for traveling

Very nice app when traveling around a country and visiting many places. Easy to use and nice for photo book export.

Would be nice to have possibility to rename the places and add a place manually without photo, like start airport or home to have the full route :)
