Love it
Tribal Pages has served me well over the years. It is easy to use and my family love to check in every so often to see if I have updated our family history. I also like the privacy, well done everyone .
Getting frustrated
I have been using Tribal Pages for about 20 years as a way of sharing my tree with others. It has been a useful tool but is getting more and more frustrating.
1. The app doesn’t use tree diagrams. You can look for a name and then click on a parent or child to move through generations, but this doesn’t give you an overall picture of the family line.
2. To view the family line I went to the web browser on my iPad and logged in. The site asked me to login (as it should) but every time I clicked on a name or the guestbook or reports it again asked me to login without actually giving any information. I hope family members are not experiencing this same problem when I am spending money each year to keep the site alive for them!
3. The site is clunky to use. There haven’t really been many performance changes during the years that I have been using (and paying for) it.
4. It’s annoying that you can only add one census and one occupation per person. We now have the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911, 1921 and 1939 censuses and during that time people grew up and moved around a lot. Only very limited data can be added to TP which makes its value also very limited.
5. Importing a GEDCOM from Family Historian used to be very simple and could be done weekly or even daily if necessary. It is now a very complicated process. Not sure whether it’s a TP or FH problem but, suffice to say, my TP tree doesn’t get updated via import very often. It’s easier to update records manually - which is duplicate work and, with over 10,000 names, is a real chore.
6. Technical support from TP is very poor. I get the impression TP is a one man band.
Having, said all this, despite the popularity of family history, TP is still the best software and app for doing what it does, so I continue to use it. It has many really great features, but sadly an increasing number of frustrating ones.

Help!…where are you?
Been trying to contact you via forum, email and messaging for months, no response, web site seems to have been left in limbo by developers, where are the developers of TribalPages ?
Not impressed so far
I have tried twice to create an account and both times I get a message that says error: unknown error. What’s going on?

Love the App am able to update on the fly using the app - However Birthday list is not showing all birthdays as matter fact not showing most birthdays - Please fix

Need to fix name search
Still a fan of this app, but a previous update caused the name search feature to show first names when selecting a letter from the alphabet menu. Needs to show last names like it used to. I can use the search option to find all last names, but then it only shows those with first names starting with A thru G. Please fix this glitch.

Tribal Pages
Names need to be listed alphabetically by LAST names, not first names! What happened to the color and the home page photo? Not very attractive any more and being able to see relationship charts is important. All in all the updated app is not at useful as it used to be. Please improve!

App needs a way to make the tree more visual so you can easily see how everyone's related without having to click into each person.
Also, you misspelled "Activity" as "acitivity" on one of the pages. That irked me :/

The instagram addictGood, but not that good.
It's great to be able to add family data on the run in this app BUT today when I logged in to record a family members death, it only goes to 2013. WTH. disappointed.
Needs updating
I have all of my family genealogy stored here and am confident with it, BUT this app hasn't been updated. If I need to add a newborn I need to go online, because there is no 2016 yet in this app.

Great idea, but it keeps crashing. I'm using an iPhone5 with the latest updates available.
Update please
I can not put in dates of death correctly due the year range only goes to2013. This is 2014 and people have passed away that I can't put in database correctly withe the app.
Outdated
This is actually a good app for getting info while on-the-go. But since it hasn't been updated in almost 2 years it has become useless for recording updates. Only years up to 2013 can be selected. Not very good for recording a recent death.

Time for an update
STILL can't select 2014 as a year despite the fact that it's May of that year already.
Needs improvement
Cannot see ancestors or descendants, will not let you delete or correct entries (one example: "Alivia's son must me male" sic), and NO tech support except for some form you must fill out. And no way to store the info offline, so you still have to have an internet connection. Great idea, but isn't much good for anything except quick references. Will start looking for other apps.
