Not free

The app is only free for a few days, then turns into a subscription service. Advertised to be like “Duolingo” for music. No. Duolingo has completely free options. Immediately deleted the app.

The demo doesn’t make noise. I can’t take a quiz if I can’t hear the notes and chords being played.

Couldn’t hear anything.

Doesn’t do what it claims

First, it changed me for the whole year when I only wanted a monthly subscription. You can’t set up Bluetooth sound. The exercises are a joke. You can’t hear the higher octave sound. Some chords sound the same.

Great App

Excellent app but please add an option to redo an exercise once completed. It’s to time consuming to go through the menu and find the specific exercise you want to practice again

Greedy

Wanted you to rate them first. Then force you to pay first before starting the trial. Wasted my time.

Sticking

The I’m ready button is stuck below the visible screen and I can’t move forward

D doesn’t work

In every exercise across the app, when the sound is set as Piano, the D pitch does not make a sound.

scammed me

legitimately scammed me acting like i didn’t make an account after i already payed for the subscription

No free version

Cant use the app without a subscription. Id prefer to use it for free with ads

Lie

Asking for money with zero experience then they call it duolingo! I couldn't even try one feature!

Musical grammar

Well, the features for listening are useful, the notes are not spelt correctly and only sharps are used. For example, F major has a Bb, not an A#.
If the app is useful for training the year, but is confusing and incorrect theory.

Watch out for free trial

Decided to try this out. After 10 min of set up. Finally asks if I want to start a free trial. I say yes and it charged me $19.99. Really lame paid $20 just to find the app is not what I want

sucks

sucky

Bad

All it does is play a note and ask you to guess it. If i could tell you the note by hearing it i wouldnt need the app.
I got through the first exercise because there are only three notes but in order to do the second exercise you have to be able to differentiate notes in two octaves. Ive been playing piano for two years and i cant do octaves. If you are looking for a beginner friendly ear trainer this aint it.

A can’t even try this

Impossible to access this app. Why make it so hard to get started with this. I lost patience before even trying it

Erased

All my data and progress got erased. Stray achievements still show but my progress is all gone. It keeps signing me out as well which is not enjoyable. Buggy issues make me not want to pay for this app anymore.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words — really glad to hear the latest UI and app blocking improvements are making a difference for you! That was a big focus for us 🙌 Also, that’s a fantastic suggestion about rhythm training — you’re absolutely right, rhythm is a huge part of musical understanding and definitely tied to ear training. It’s something we’ve been thinking about, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize what to build next. Right now, we’re working on adding chord progression recognition 💪 and rhythm training is definitely on our radar after that. Really appreciate you sharing the app with your friends as well — that means a lot ❤️ If you have any other ideas or feedback, feel free to reach out anytime!

Scam app

Charges you 5 dollars a month for stuff you can find for free online. Only downloaded because I thought is was free and would offer structure. Just learn with free stuff online because it probably teach you better anyways based on other reviews.

Hangs up

I just started app. As far as I get is a “welcome” gift. The welcome gift is apparently a screen one cannot bypass. It is either a big or not a great program

Avoid like the plague

Not 90 seconds into the app and it’s throwing mobile game microtransaction BS at you like “gems, XP boosts, lives”

I am not a rat addicted to cocaine

No sound

I was excited and ready to use the app but was disappointed when there was no sound. My iPhone 17 works fine with other apps but I can’t get the SOUND on for a gd music app
