About
It's 11pm and your head will not stop.
The test, the call you forgot to make, the thing you said at lunch. Everyone knows those nights. In our family we found an old trick for them: write the worries down and close the book on them. Not to fix them. Just so the paper holds them until morning, and your head doesn't have to.
Trinsmo is that trick, made into a journal.
Each evening it offers two short pages. On the first you write what's worrying you, one line each, and one is enough. Then the pencil underlines your words, the page folds over them, and the journal holds them until morning. On the second page you write the strengths you noticed in yourself today. Being patient in the car counts. Trying again counts. That's the page you fall asleep on.
In the morning, the journal offers the folded page back. Open it when you want, and mark the worries that already passed. Most of them do. After a while the journal can show you the truest thing it knows: most of what it has held never happened.
Here is what makes it different: nothing pushes. No streaks, no scores, no reminders, nothing overdue. Miss a night, miss a month, and it opens the same way every time, like a real journal would.
The small stuff we obsessed over:
- The fold. A pencil, paper sounds, and a soft thump you can feel when the cover closes.
- A list of strengths to borrow when the words will not come. Tap one and the sentence starts for you.
- The day's list, for small daytime steps. Color-coded however you like, with a green check that feels good, and nothing that nags or expires.
- A pencil that whispers while you type, and an eraser when you take something back. Silent mode hushes it all.
- Works for kids at bedtime and grown-ups at midnight. Reading it aloud together is kind of the point.
Your words stay yours. Everything lives on your device, iCloud syncs it between your own devices, and there is no account, no ads, no tracking, ever. You buy it once and it's yours.
The idea comes from worry time, a quiet practice found all over the world, from older traditions that give worries somewhere else to sleep, from worry dolls to the boxes children decorate with their parents.
We're a family. We built this because we needed it. We hope it helps your nights too.

Small polish: - How This Works no longer ends with a leftover note we meant to remove, and its tip about the strengths list now points to the right place. - Earlier evenings now say "That day's strengths" instead of "Today's." - Settings describes the animations and sounds exactly as they work. - VoiceOver reads the home screen, folded worries, and passed marks more clearly.
