Love the app but screen goes white after loading
I had started to set up a trip but now the screen just goes white. It started when I tried to use the map features. I really hope this gets fixed soon because I love the app and have used it several times for trips in the past.

App Malfuntioning
I have used this app before in the past for trips and it’s amazing! Great way to organize and plan. Currently trying to plan another trip but the screen goes white after loading.
Has potential
But needs a lot of work...and a lot more options to add and ways to navigate and edit.. Looks nice though

Organizing fall fishing trip and is is the tool I needed to put it together.

Since when can I put together a few of my friends for an expedition and it be organized? Before Trip Pilot - never! What do you mean you brought whole bean coffee instead of ground for the French Press? Those snafu’s are over as we can now “chat”, create lists, etc. on Trip Pilot. What a great organizational tool for such a great price! Thank you!!

Unable to add a location
I searched for the location, and when it came up, and selected it, and tapped “add location,” but nothing happened. Force quit and restarted the app. Still the same thing

Great trip planning app
I love the lists that can be created and then modified by attendees. This app has a myriad of uses from day trips, wedding planning, long vacations, to something as simple as an evening out with friends. The only hard thing about using it is getting friends to us it instead of big social media apps.

This is the way.
I have been planning adventures with my friends my entire adult life. I love it. I love the logistics aspect and the joy of putting together an adventure that brings so much satisfaction to the group every time for putting their trust in my ideas. I especially love feeling the exhilaration of what’s to come as I explore, research, and share my excitement of the impending journey.
Previous to this app I had yet to find anything similar that ultimately proved more effective than what I could write up on a legal pad and share with the group through photos. If I wanted to show my glowing brilliance and ingenuity I could plot our course on Google maps and share a screenshot in a group text.
As much as everybody absolutely loves being a part of group text messages, I had simply not found a better option. Tribe Pilot has been that. As a new app, it was no dealbreaker that one of the features that drew me to this app was not functioning properly right when I got it. I emailed them well after 9 PM on a Tuesday night and was responded to within minutes. I was given a workaround for the problem for the night and then emailed by the morning that the problem has been fixed.
Nothing works perfect, and we all have to choose where to spend our money, efforts, and mostly of all our precious finite time. It is a real breath of fresh air to address an issue and see results. So much so that I wrote all of these words about it. If the description of this app is some thing that would benefit you, this is the one you have been looking for.

I can see your progress with the app and it’s great. Things I’d still like to see:
The ability to copy and paste within documents. This would make hyperlinks etc... an option when creating a doc.
The ability to upload pictures and not just checklists. If we are splitting costs, being able to take a photo of a receipt is nice. A photo of a trail marker etc...
A Google map or something with that kind of detail. Road names etc... a satellite image would be 👌
The ability to upload .pdfs or upload any file type for that matter.
Keep at it! It’s getting better with each update. I’ll be using the app with clients for the first time in the next few weeks.

We are so stoked you are with us ralph2208. All you mention and a lot more is coming. As a small dedicated crew, we wish we could do it all faster, but are constrained by the hours in a week. Look for enhancements to lists (sub-lists/indenting) in the next release. Mapping enhancements and photos are on the agenda too, but have to get through some other tuneups first. We are looking forward to your eventual upgrade.
Great for outdoor planning
App works great to plan for outdoor group trips! Have to purchase for saving lists and sharing with more than one person which is a drawback. However, the ability to save lists so you don’t have re-invent the wheel every trip is worth it. The chat function is helpful also.

The founder/creator(?) reaches out to me to see how I felt about it, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me dial him back...regardless. LOVE THIS APP
My biggest want from it right now if a way to port maps and points into a map app that I already have (Apple, google). Other than that I so far really enjoy the functionality the extra lists and steps that are added in. Really helps keep my less savvy friends on point and confident they know where I mean!

Why so slow (edited)
I like this app, or better yet I want to like this app. Trying to set up a trip and it’s just slow and clunky. Everything takes too long to do and half the time it will not save stuff that I do. I don’t know if the coding needs work or what but something needs to change. UPDATE: After my original 2 star review the people behind the app reached out to me and offered some suggestions. It’s been working great since and it had no noticeable lag at the moment. Thanks a lot Matt and the Tribe Pilot team!

Hi Danhutch- Incase you haven't noticed, we have drastically enhanced the speed and performance of the app over the past few iterations. You should find the speed to match expectations now, regardless of phone model.
Really Great Idea !
This app is amazing for planning trips and is exactly what everyone needs but it still has a lot of bugs and crashes with every update.
A current issue is with app is that sometimes, after a long session of typing, you’ll come back to your lists having not been saved.
As well as the “checking off” feature or assigning. Once you check it off or assign something I would assume that the next time you come back to the list it should remain checked off.
If is were to run efficiently I would absolutely give it 5 Stars.

Hi jeeeesuss We love your use of the app, and stoked you are using it on such a deep level. We can also tell that you have been using it for a while, because this issue has been fixed for several months. However if someone in your group is still on an old version it will show its ugly head. Just have everyone upgrade to the latest. Cheers, happy planning.
Features missing
I found this app via the YouTube channel I feel some of the features are missing that are displayed in the video like the ability to make sub lists eg meal planning, Dinner night 1 would be nice to collapse all of the ingredients for dinner night 1 under that heading. I also found that when adding a list item if I added a member it would sometimes erase the item after adding people making me re type the item. App has crashed a couple times as well. These items fixed and this app would be Awesome.

Much needed app!
Organizing a trip with a group of friends has proven over and over to be a huge logistical nightmare for me. I was told about this app by a friend and can't believe something like this didn't exist already! The perfect companion to plan your next adventure with friends!

Great for Overlanding!
I have an overlanding outfit called Adventure Mule. I use this app for planning my excursions and organizing my groups. It’s great to keep up with who needs to bring what they are responsible for. I plan all my trips here! Great design for my needs as a guide for off-road adventures and camp outs.
Streamlines adventure trip planning
My family used this app to plan all of our trips this summer and I’ve really grown to love it. My favorite feature is saved lists. We did several raft trips and being able to pull up my saved “raft trip gear list” and add it to a specific upcoming trip is a huge time saver. I like the group list and personal list feature too. I can make my own list for toiletries, etc and also have a group/family pack list that my husband and I both have access to and we can both be checking things off as we pack them and/or add things we think of as we’re packing. I’m looking forward to being able to save and repopulate past trips. On the website, it looks like that feature is coming. We have a couple of annual trips that I’d love to be able to create in Tribe Pilot and pull up each year. Great app overall! I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Thanks Cheridar, what a great story. We have plans to continuously upgrade the lists feature so you and your family will be well taken care of in the years to come. Yes, trip templates are coming so you can "do-it-again" next year. This is also good for creating your bucket list.
Works like a charm
We just used the Tribe Pilot app for 2 adventures - Hood River multi-day, multi-sport, and a small family reunion in Colorado Springs. Had to push to get everyone to download but worth it. Consensus of my Tribes is way less confusing than text/email and will use again - it was good to have all the trip related stuff in just one place instead of spread out all over. Chat feature was nice - used until all our arrivals at destination. Used this app in the winter for a Mt Bachelor ski weekend, then forgot about it - this latest version is much sweeter.
