Super updates to this useful trip monitoring app

From when it was initially launched to now, I can tell that the developers have but a lot of effort into making improvements acting on user feedback. On a recent day trip to London we were able to locate the students during their free time and send and receive messages without sharing personal phone numbers. The set up is easy and I like how it all shuts down at the end of the trip. From a safeguarding perspective it shows that teachers have developed this app and thought through the design carefully. I would recommend it to other schools and colleges.

Tracking function fails to work

As of currently, the tracking function on TripAid failed to work for me and my students. We were staying in a city and a number of them were lost to the crowd. Fortunately they made it back safely, a tad later then we had hoped but safe.

As a teacher this was severely damaging for my experience and I will NOT be using this app again. Furthermore, the students could only message me incase of emergency, there is not a call feature and I would hope that there will be if this app ever gets the update it so greatly needs.

Yours Sincerely,
Mr Davidson

FAQ

How does TripAid ensure student safety during school trips?

TripAid allows teachers to locate and message pupils in real-time, providing constant oversight. Groups are created by a school's Educational Visits Coordinator, and once a trip begins, location and messaging sharing are activated.

How are trip groups created and managed in TripAid?

School's Educational Visits Coordinators create trip groups via the website. Teachers and students then join using unique codes provided for each trip, ensuring only authorized participants are included.

Can teachers add new students to a trip group after it has started?

Yes, teachers can add new students to an ongoing trip by creating a temporary code within the app. They can also edit the trip's end time and remove members if necessary.
