About
Know what you took, how it is likely to unfold, and what not to mix. Trippy is a private harm-reduction journal and reference for adults who have already made their own choices. It does not judge, and it does not encourage use.
KNOW WHAT YOU TAKE
• Knowledge Base: 596 substances with dosage ranges, duration phases, tolerance, interactions, addiction potential and toxicity, by route
• Six guides, from Emergencies and Mixing Substances to Set and Setting, plus a list of drug checking services
• Works offline: all reference data is built in, with source links on every page
KNOW WHAT NOT TO MIX
• Log something that pairs dangerously or unsafely with a substance still acting, and a warning card shows, every time
• Tap it to read why, where to get help and what each source says
FOLLOW EVERY PHASE
• Doses close in time group into experiences, named from their substances and the time of day
• One effect timeline for all your substances, with estimated come-up, peak and offset
• While an experience is in progress, the Journal and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island show each substance's estimated phase
SEE YOUR PATTERNS
• A scrolling Calendar of your doses and mood, day by day
• Stats for 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or a year: activity, mood, time of day and weekday
• A tolerance estimate for each substance that names the day it drops near baseline
• Sober Streak counts your days without recreational use, overall and for the substances you choose
• Mark a substance or a custom unit as prescribed: prescribed and everyday doses stay in the background and never count against your streak
MOOD AND NOTES
• One Add screen for a dose or a mood entry, from any tab
• Rate mood tags at three levels, with a time on every entry
• Add timed notes to any experience
• Log for a friend on a separate chart, kept out of your own stats
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your journal stays on your iPhone and its device backups unless you turn on optional iCloud Sync, encrypted through your private iCloud database. Add an App Lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, or switch to Private View to show only your mood journal.
Switching from another journal app? Import its export: Trippy shows a preview and saves an export of your current journal before replacing it.
ESTIMATES, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Timelines and tolerance are estimates from bundled reference data, not predictions for you. Trippy is information, not medical advice, and does not recommend any substance, dose or pattern of use. For adults 18+. Always check with a healthcare professional.
