Brilliant app

Starting my triathlon journey and this app has been brilliant! The seamless two way integration with Garmin is great as well as the ability drag and drop workouts when life means you have to change your plan!

Great app when it works

This app is so good training wise and for training plan but it is so glitchy. It signs me out every time and then I can’t get signed back in, the button to sign in with google won’t work and sign in with email page is off screen. It will work again eventually but maybe today, maybe not until tomorrow. Really frustrating.

Great Concept, Can Lead to Overtraining

I was looking for an AI powered app to help me train for the Maryland Ironman in September 2025. I started using the app in November 2024 and used until March. I found that the app was easy to use and very configurable. I liked that I can move workouts around and it warned me if I put too many runs back to back. The problem though is that the algorithm doesn’t have any recovery weeks built in. Most plans will do a build up of 3 weeks on and 1 week off to help recover. I continued to train based on the plan until eventually I became over fatigued and lead to an overuse injury. It’s not bad but the takeaway is that the algorithm should incorporate recovery into the training plan. If you’re in a training block of 9, 10, then 11 hours; the 4th week should go down to 5 hours. Then build up again.

Thanks for the effort you’ve put into the app. If you make this change, I’d start to use it again. 😉

Response from developer

Dear Rizon28, a pitty that you perceived the service of like this. With the power of regularly tracking your training progress it is possible to adapt your training plan continuously hence the old paradigm of 3 weeks "on" 1 week "off" is not needed anymore. This is a concept was used by coaches in older times when automatic training tracking was not yet state of the art and was introduced to be on the safe side and to have regular recovery. With continuous tracking the recovery takes place as well continuously hence continuous training is possible and is the key. At TRIQ we only increase the training volume and the load if you follow our plan at least by 90% AND if you do not report any muscle fatigue signs in our muscle fatigue feature. So depending on your automatic and manual feedback to us, we are adapting the plan. All this can also be read in our App Insights available in our APP in the Athlete Hub section. I hope this information makes you curious to try TRIQ again. Regards Phil from TRIQ product Team.

Love it

Training for my first middle distance, and finding it really useful. It syncs with my Forerunner 955, adjusts as I go. It also saves me having to manually enter the workouts in Garmin or even worse, try to remember the legs. The support team are fantastic too, really friendly and responsive.

Weird

I dont know what is the point of having an application on the apple store knowing that most users have apple watches and your app doesn’t support it

Gave 3 stars for your noble idea of helping us train
Hope you sort it out and after using your application will rate your app fairly
