What's New in True Finance
4.5
October 13, 2026
True Finance now syncs across your devices, and looks ahead so you know what's safe to spend. SYNC ACROSS YOUR DEVICES Your accounts, transactions, budgets and goals stay up to date on your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud, with amounts and notes encrypted. Sync is on by default; check its status or turn it off in Settings. Before you update a second device: if you've used True Finance separately on an iPhone and an iPad, their data will be combined once both are on 4.5 and signed in to the same iCloud account. Export a backup first from Settings › Backup & Export, so you have a copy either way. With sync on, Reset All Data clears your data on every device signed in to your iCloud, not just the one you're holding. KNOW WHAT'S SAFE TO SPEND Tap the sign beside Total Balance to see what's safe to spend until payday and where your balances are heading over the next 7, 30 or 60 days. A green, amber or red sign warns you before an account runs low. What you owe on credit cards is counted, and you can leave out money you don't spend day to day, like an RRSP. A FRESH DASHBOARD Your accounts and budget categories have a cleaner look, each in its own colour. Swipe through every category as a ring that fills as you spend, and switch between what's left, what's spent and your plan. A line in Monthly Budget tells you whether you're spending more or less than usual by this day of the month. FOUR NEW WIDGETS Spending Pulse, Upcoming Bills, Goal Progress and Category Budgets bring your month to your Home Screen. Post a bill or add to a goal right from the widget. IT REMEMBERS WHO YOU PAY Start typing a source and pick one you've used before. The category and account fill in, so you only enter the amount. SMOOTHER FORMS, CLEARER MONTHS Entry forms open full screen and respond to the first tap. The All tab follows the month you're viewing.
