About
Stop guessing whether you're in tune. Trumpet Drill listens while you play and tells you, note by note, if you're too low, too high or right on pitch, so every minute of practice makes you a better trumpet player.
PLAY PERFECTLY IN TUNE
Hearing yourself while you play is hard; a teacher isn't always there. Trumpet Drill is. Play the note on the screen and see instantly how many cents you're off and which way to correct. Hold the note in tune and the valve cap fills: your ear and your lips learn what in tune feels like.
MASTER EVERY SCALE
Scales are the backbone of good playing. Drill them up and down in all 12 keys: major, minor (natural, harmonic or melodic) and chromatic, spelled the way a trumpeter reads them. A strip shows the notes you've held and the ones still to play, so you always know where you are.
NEVER DOUBT A FINGERING
See each note on the staff and as trumpet fingerings with valves 1, 2 and 3, in letters or in solfège (Do, Ré, Mi). Reading, fingering and pitch come together every time you play.
PRACTICE WHAT YOU NEED
• Single notes: random notes in the range you choose, from A3 to A5, to train your ear and your accuracy
• Scales: in any key, on the octave or octaves you choose
• Long tones: hold each note in tune for 6, 10 or 20 seconds to build a steady, centred sound
MADE FOR YOUR TRUMPET
Notes are written for your instrument: B-flat trumpet, C trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpets, E-flat, D and more, including bass trumpets. You read what you play; Trumpet Drill handles the transposition.
SEE YOURSELF IMPROVE
After each drill, see every note you held in tune and how many times, so you know what you've nailed and what to work on next.
MAKE PRACTICE A HABIT
Progress comes from playing a little every day. Trumpet Drill keeps your daily streak, your longest streak and every practice, and celebrates each new day with you.
FOR EVERY TRUMPET PLAYER
Beginners learning to play in tune, students preparing lessons, exams or auditions, band and orchestra players warming up: a few focused minutes a day add up.
