User reviews

Years later, without update, still perfect

I wrote a review of tuna pitch many years ago. Today, I used it to turn a guitar.

Love the entire bundle

Very useful and accurate.

Just a scale?

I bought this app for the customizable A4. That part is great! However, it only provides various instrument tunings, and not a complete chromatic scale, let alone a diatonic scale. I wanted to use this as a pitch pipe for a cappella singing at A432.

希望としては

apple wachだけでも使えるようになると使い勝手が上がるので、ご検討をお願いします。

Not a stand alone

If you have to open an iPhone, what is the point of having it work on a watch? Ridiculous.

FAQ

What does the Tuna Pitch app do?

Tuna Pitch is a chromatic tuner and pitch pipe designed for musical instruments and voice. It uses your device's microphone to detect pitches, helping you tune instruments accurately. It also provides reference tones for tuning by ear.

What instruments can I tune with this app?

The app supports a wide variety of instruments, including guitars (acoustic and electric), bass guitars, banjos, violins, cellos, violas, mandolins, ukuleles, and even your voice. It comes with 18 built-in tuning systems for 9 different instruments.

How does the tuner work?

The tuner automatically finds the pitch using your device's microphone. It then displays the note name, octave, and frequency, along with how sharp or flat the note is in cents and percentage. For best results, it's recommended to use a headset or an external microphone.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the application is available for free. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned in the provided description.

What are the benefits of the pitch pipe feature?

The built-in pitch pipe allows you to play reference tones out loud with 4 selectable timbres. This feature is useful for tuning by ear, practicing intonation, or playing along with a reference note.
