Does not work on MV TV Lusso

The phone Bluetooth connection to the bike is established successfully, however the MV App will not connect via Bluetooth. Spent hours trying to resolve the problem. I’m an IT specialist so I am no amateur to these types of problems. This app is very buggy. Not worth downloading.

I found the problem, the App will only work with IOS 15.6.1 or older. Still clunky when initially pairing, but works as intended.

Connection Problem Resolved

I’ve had a problem connecting this app to the MV TV for years, but I’m a techy so I didn’t give up! The problem was NOT the phone connecting to the bike via Bluetooth as this worked perfectly; the MV Turismo + App would not connect to the Bluetooth API on Apple IOS. I pulled out an old iPhone and downgraded it to IOS 15.6.1 and it worked no problem. So there’s the solution if you’re desperate to get it working.

Doesn’t work

Only some iPhone models, only on old versions of iOS, are working. iPhone XR on iOS 14 for example still connects.

If you have anything newer, with newer iOS, then it does not connect.

If MV Agusta doesn’t stand behind their product, why they at least can’t publish the source code? It would’ve been possible to fix it.

Does not connect to bike

I'm able to pair the devices with the bike, but the app will not recognize the bike and will not connect to tune suspension or view trips. Once paired, and the app opens, the bluetooth icon flashes on the dashboard, but the app doesn't recognize the bike and never fully pairs.

Doesn’t work

It doesn’t connect to the bike. I captured a Bluetooth trace from Xcode and it looks like it’s requesting a function that isn’t available on the bike. Support stopped responding to me after basic troubleshooting. The only solution will be to hack the bike if you want access to more suspension adjustment or data logging. MV certainly won’t help you.

Response from developer

Hello, the App is designed and compatible with the Turismo Veloce Lusso models only. If you a re riding this bike and having issues in connecting with the App, please reach out directly to our customer care by writing at info@mvagusta.com

Phone app?

Garbage! Does not work. Understand the app is for the Lusso. Pairing is problematic. Loses sync when downloading trips therefore trips do not download. Unable to change suspension maps while app continues to try, unsuccessfully, downloading trips. Creating a new suspension map alters the previous. Unable to simply view existing suspension map. Dealer seems ill equipped to handle the issues. Problem exists on all tried phones. Prob exist with either phone app or m/cycle software. Judging by post to web forums it is a widespread problem and all reviews read in m/cycle mags is that no one was able to make use of the app. Unable to contact developer directly as the MVA website has been down for an extended period.

Does not work

Wasted many hours trying to operate have presented this to different MV Augusta dealers they cannot get the. App to work. Have even emailed MV A they replied refer to dealer.

Brilliant - if it would work

In theory this app would be a brilliant companion to an MV Agusta bike.
In practice, it fails badly to establish a connection with the bike.
And it’s not the Bluetooth stack on the bike or on the iPad, since I have no problem in connection and managing any other devices with them.

Disappointing

I can't really comment on how the app works because it doesn't download the model info of my bike even though Bluetooth is connected. I keep getting a message to pair the phone even though it already is. Not sure if it is a bike or phone issue because it took about a dozen attempts to pair the bike and phone initially.

As an update: I have discovered that while I am 'new school' with the bike I am too 'old school' with my iPhone. It needs something newer that a 4S or 5 to work. When I tried with an 8 it works as advertised.

It would be nice to be able to download the trip data from the app to post or use elsewhere.
