Refresh annoyance and No way to sort by games/categories you’ve heart’ed (follow)
When I want to refresh the “Following” area, swiping down first brings out the “Stories” area (unless I do a very long swipe down that my hands have difficulty doing), then I can swipe to refresh, that extra layer/increased swipe distance is bad design and annoying. Also theres no way to view all the games/categories I am following. You can “heart” (follow) a game/category but cant sort by “heart’ed” (following) to see who is currently streaming all the games that interest you. Also the preview images of live streams in your “following” tab are tiny and don’t use all the screen space they could be using to show a bigger snapshot of the live streams (on phones), the option to choose a layout like the one used in the “Live” category would be nice, that way you don’t have to strain your eyes to see whats in the tiny screenshot. Theres also no way to disable chat when streamers add the chat to the stream overlay, I tune into a stream for the streamer and there are people saying weird stuff I don’t want to see that I cant disable, I don’t want to see it and don’t have any control over it on screen other than turning off the stream. Also, the app keeps changing the resolution I set for each streamer and their stream, I have to constantly change it back over and over again.

TRAINING AI WITH STREAMS
adding a button that allows streams/vids to be trained for ai, but it’s actually just for show because WHAT DO YOU MEAN IF I OPT OUT IM NOT ACTUALLY OPTING OUT OF TRAINING AI

Remove Vertical View
Vertical view not needed, I’ve never intentionally used it. The button’s at an inconvenient place that makes it easy to accidentally press and it takes forever to switch back.

Update after update I hope things get fixed and they never do. Half the time chat is glitched onto the side of the screen even when the banner is saying “no chat” or “chat overlay” and god forbid a stream as a sponsor stream and the bottom banner never goes away announcing the sponsorship like it does on a pc. Please address this

I genuinely enjoy twitch at what it has to offer,I’ve that the notifications are always on point and the variety of streams it gives .
Following / channels
Lastly, at least 2 updates: when switching to following and scrolling through Live, Categories, and Continue watching, the app works ok. But when I try to scroll through the channels it tries to load and resets back to the top. And repeat every time.
What I can watch it on.
I enjoy watching the streams that I do. But one I can not because of the 1080p or whatever. I can not watch on my Roku tv.

Twitch quietly rolled out a feature using chat and streams to train generative ai. It is automatically on without consent and without informing the end user that it’s even there.
links, bugs and fixes
Please for the luv of god, fix bot links not loading links, like you would press on a bots link and it will load then back out/crash, very annoying and also fix stream audio and video buffering as well and fix clips also, clips lag like crazy and some clips wont load/play at all and sometimes when u go to reply to someone in a chat, it will freeze and crash every time, very frustrating, also fix drops, drops will say “claim” but when u go to drops and awards, the drops wont appear and when drops do appear it wont let u claim the drops either, pls fix, oh and 1 more thing, fix following bug when i go to scroll down in following list, it crashes and or takes me back to the top and please revamp the live section, its very laggy and clunky and let us infinite scroll down and on ipad its very unbearable it cuts off half the screen and recommend streamers i mainly watch as well, pls do not recommend me streamers with 200 viewers or less not interested thank u

AI data harvesting
Users are being subjected to a concealed opt out data harvesting scheme for the purposes of training generative AI. I will therefore be subjecting the platform to an opt out negative review.
Shady practices
On August 12 of 2026, Amazon, the company who own Twitch, decided to take it amongst themselves to add generative AI despite the fact that almost nobody on the platform wants this. As such until then I will be continuing to have a one star rating for this app and this company.
