About
Weather for people who live between °C and °F, corrected by the station near you, with the sources shown.
BOTH SCALES, EVERYWHERE
Actual and feels-like temperatures appear in Celsius and Fahrenheit together on the home screen, in widgets and on the Lock Screen. Choose which scale comes first; the other stays in view.
CORRECTED BY THE STATION NEAR YOU
In the US, when a nearby National Weather Service station reads warmer or colder than the forecast model, Twofold moves the next hours towards the station's reading and fades the change out over 12 hours. The hourly forecast says when this is happening.
SEVEN MODELS, AVERAGED
Forecast temperatures are the average of up to seven weather models. In a week-long check against 18 airport stations, the average was closer than any single model.
ONE FEELS-LIKE FORMULA, NAMED
Feels like follows the National Weather Service: wind chill in cold wind, heat index in humid heat, and the air temperature in between. It is worked out the same way for every place and provider, and the app tells you which formula applies.
THE SOURCES, SHOWN
Weather data and sources, at the foot of the forecast, lists each reading's provider, station, distance and time, and whether a station measured it or a model estimated it. Old readings are labelled, and missing data is shown as missing, never as zero.
PAST WEEK
See yesterday's weather and the last seven days of forecast against recorded temperatures, so you can judge how far to trust tomorrow.
DETAILS ON TAP
Tap a conditions tile for more. The moon shows yesterday, today and tomorrow. Each day in the 10-day forecast opens its sunrise, sunset and daylight. The hourly card switches to 24-hour graphs of temperature, rain, wind, humidity or UV; drag across a graph to read any hour.
YOUR OWN LOOK
Pick one of six card styles, Poster, Glass, Paper, Ink, Almanac or Instrument, each with its own sky that follows the conditions, or the still Midnight look. Add an accent colour and one of five layouts for the current reading. Choose from eight app icons, with two more to find.
A VOICE, IF YOU WANT ONE
A short line under the conditions, Plain, Friendly or Cheeky, with an opt-in Roast. Every line is written by hand and matches the readings and the place.
FORECAST ALERTS
Set alerts for temperature, feels like, rain chance, wind gusts or UV. They are local notifications planned on your device from the latest forecast each time the app refreshes, not official warnings. For saved US cities, Twofold can also tell you about new National Weather Service alerts it finds when you open the app.
RAIN RADAR
The map plays the past two hours of RainViewer radar in 10-minute frames, with a time scrubber. Other layers compare temperature, precipitation, wind and air quality across your saved places.
AIR QUALITY AND POLLEN
US and European air quality index, PM2.5, PM10, ozone and nitrogen dioxide. Pollen for grass, birch, alder and ragweed in Europe.
ACTIVITIES
A 0 to 10 score and the best upcoming time for walking, running, cycling, hiking, stargazing and drying laundry.
WIDGETS
Nine Home Screen widgets: Weather, both ways; Air quality & pollen; Next 24 hours; Next 2 hours; Activities; Feels like; Past week; Moon phase; and Snark. Fourteen single-detail Lock Screen widgets cover the moon, sunrise and sunset, UV, wind, rain chance and more. Each widget can follow the app's city or keep a saved place.
YOUR PLACES
Save up to 12 cities and swipe between them. Search by name, or use your location if you choose. Times follow each city's time zone.
FREE AND PRIVATE

What's New in Twofold Weather
1.2
October 30, 2026
Twofold comes to Apple Watch, and widgets now open what you tapped. • Apple Watch: your saved cities, actual and feels like in both scales, the next hours and 10 days, plus complications. • Moon phase opens the moon, Past week opens the week's forecast check, and Air quality opens its details. • Each day on the large Weather widget opens that day, and Activities opens its card. • Lock Screen details open their own page: UV, wind, humidity, rain chance, pressure, visibility, today and tomorrow. • Next 2 hours opens the quarter-hour rain chart. • A weather alert issued again shows once, and feels like stays on screen when a station briefly stops reporting humidity.
