Great show, awful app
I’m a long-time fan of TYT. I’m not progressive, but I appreciate hearing many different sides of the issues at hand and TYT is very good at supporting their statements. The app experience, however, is abysmal. It’s basically just the mobile website, but it’s buggy as hell. Videos freeze all the time or restart and all I want is to play the show audio in the background while I work, but I can’t do that. If you lock your phone screen, go to your home screen or if audio plays from another source, then the TYT video completely stops. It is the year 2026. Why can I not have the video play in the background?? No joke it’s actually better to just use the mobile site.

App is dated
Can’t stream to my tv with this app. No casting of any sort, about to cancel my membership of 10 years because they provide a subpar app not worth paying for! YouTube works fine never an issue !!!!!
Useless app
Get halfway through a podcast and it stops playing every time and no amount of resetting will get it to work. Get a phone call while listening the a podcast and it restarts the podcast. So aggravating.
Love the Show, Hate the App
The app is very glitchy. Regularly crashes and freezes. The play button only responds sometimes. Rewinding and fast forwarding is very difficult, which is compounded by the fact that I have to try to do those things after the app freezes up, which happens at least daily.
Subscription Bug
I subscribed via Apple Store, but when I go to TYT page on Apple Podcasts, it’s asking me to subscribe. I’ll change my rating if and when this is resolved. I do want to support your journalism, however.
