The only thing worse than this app is their pathetic customer support. Could not even login to the app.
Term agreement keeps popping up
Hi with this version the terms of service agreement keeps popping up every time I navigate to a new tab in the app. I confirm it and it pops up again.
Bad app
I’ve used this app 5 times this year in my current move. Half the time the app doesn’t work correctly resulting in you waiting on hold to get support during your active reservation. Currently I have spent 35 minutes trying to start my reservation (now on my second customer service call) and it’s as a direct result of the app not functioning correctly

Just talk to the people
App says return truck, make sure you have everything and it’s locked and parked legally where you got it, put keys in lockbox and you’re all set, great. Still shows up as active on account click return truck again. Now app says take picture of odometer, well I can’t do that because you already told me to lock it and return the key. Just go talk to the counter folks.

This app is incredibly frustrating to use. I often open it just to quickly check a price or get a simple answer, but the app makes everything unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient. I have thousands of questions and things I want to check, and many times I simply close your app and go to another company because their apps are much easier and faster to use.
At this point, I only use your app when I’m already nearby and need something immediately. Otherwise, I’d rather use a competitor.
I honestly don’t understand who designed this experience or why anyone thought it was a good idea. You are losing customers simply because the app is so inconvenient.
This is actually my first negative app review, but this experience deserves 1 star. If other customers feel the same way, please like this review or leave your own feedback so the company finally pays attention and improves the app.

If you’re looking for a terrible experience, look no further than U-Haul and their terrible app.
Poor
App doesn’t work at all if someone before you had the same phone number. Really poor design decision there.

Over a half hour attempting app-only pickup
App won’t let you presenter your name/addrss/ID before arriving.
Rejected driver license photo because app doesn’t let you upload a good picture and their in-app camera doesn’t let you zoom or focus. and said it needed to call a random contact of mine not using my phone number.
App would not accept any picture. Took nearly 100 photos and none of them were accepted.
Completely unable to finish the checkout process.
Finally just took the vehicle because I had the keys.

truck checkout process is an utter failure
The truck checkout process is an utter failure. With a full connection I am unable to add photos successfully to document the condition of the truck. I press add photo, take a picture, and then when the screen returns, the photo does not appear in line and the skip button does not go away . nothing on screen indicates the upload status of the photo or whether or not it failed or succeeded. And every time I switch between taking the next photo category,, the comment field clears of all the text that I just finished typing up. and since I can't upload any photo successfully, the app pushes back on me, continuing with a skip because "At least one photo must be uploaded." Aggravating and useless.

Fix the camera
Please allow the camera to focus so that way the front of the driver’s license will not be blurry and have to constantly be resubmitted for verification. It should not take 30 minutes to get an acceptable photo for verification. Also, the verification process should not time out if both parties are active.

U-Haul’s entire experience is probably the worst out there
Horrible App
Do not use in app pick up or drop off. The app will crash before you get through the entire process. The location you reserve from will not be able to help. And you will have to call in (and wait) to get any assistance.
Broken, Doesn’t register photos
I’m stuck in the uhaul office trying to find the clerk who disappeared, because the app isn’t registering any of the photos I’ve taken, which is a mandatory step for completing the checkout process. Because god forbid we have employees take care of any of this stuff these days.
The app doesn’t work when picking up rental
We picked up our rental truck yesterday. You have to fill in contacts for a second time, even though you filled them out with your reservation, then the app just fell apart. It wanted me to take pictures of the truck from all sides, which I did, but it wouldn’t save them. I tried three times. I finally gave up and hoped it wouldn’t be a problem later. I guess I’ll find out when I drop it off. Very frustrating.

Reservation
I reserved my rental and had the option to either pick it up through the app or through the counter. With it being busy, I chose the app. Came to pick it up and they instructed me to still wait in line and talk to someone at the counter. So why even give me a choice? So stupid
Complete garbage
Will not even allow you to get to booking without crashing. Do yourself a favour and just check in with staff on location. Not worth even being in the App Store.
Disappointing
In app camera refuses to focus. The app wouldn’t accept any of my pictures of the outside of the truck and I wish it let me submit my license when I was home instead of when I drove 20 minutes to the location to pick up the truck horrible pick up experience.
No email sign in option !
The option forcing sign in only using phone number does not make sense
