App doesn’t work, won’t send sign in code
I can’t sign in to the mobile app. I put in my phone number to sign in. It says a code has been sent but I never get anything and when trying to resend I’m told it’s failed. Seems like the whole SMS provider is down and the app is useless
App failed at the only two things I needed it to do
installed the U-Haul app for one reason: to get propane from the West Seattle location.
The app showed 322 gallons of propane available, so I drove there. Once I arrived, I used the app’s “request service” feature, since the location no longer has the doorbell they used to use. I waited several minutes. Nothing happened. I requested service again. Still nothing.
Eventually I went inside, where an employee told me they were out of propane for the day.

Nothing works
U-Haul app is so glitchy that I can’t even sign-up/register on the app prior to my move. Then when I tried to contact support to get help the app would not even let me click to start the Support Chart to troubleshoot
Truck reservations work but equipment photo check-in is broken
The app works fine for reserving a new truck. But the process of uploading photos of the different views of the vehicle when checking in or out does not work 90% of the time. You take the photo for one view and then when you take the photos for the next view, the previous photo just vanishes. Or get through taking all of the photos and when you submit them, you end up on the same image upload screen with all photos gone. I have had to “glitch” my way through 2 truck rentals to successfully do any pick up or drop off after hours. Fortunately I did not get stuck completely and was able to guess my way to a workaround. It’s a terrible experience.

Failed login bug
Would be great to be able to log in. I can do so on the website and not here. Have done app delete and reinstall and still no success
Fundamentally unnecessary
Everything essential this app does could be handled in-browser. Except the data collection, of course.
Useless
Opens to empty webpages. There’s no excuse for this in 2026.
Glitchy and confusing
The app was glitching when I had to upload a picture. Every time I tried to upload a picture it would create a new tab within the app with no pictures uploaded. It took me forever to realize I had to back arrow to the page with the pictures. It was annoying because I had to go to my apartment by a certain time to get my key. I’m also flabbergasted that we aren’t able to do most of the information before we arrive for pickup and a lot of the things you enter at the initial reservation you have to re enter at pickup. My recommendation is that when you arrive all you have to do left is take pictures of the vehicle and get the key. And drop off was also a hassle. You are allowed to say no location preference for dropoff but upon doing the dropoff through the app you now get an error. So why provide the option. I had to do text support to figure this out and she entered the location for me so I could continue. I almost missed my train because of this. Overall this app needs a lot of changes.

Whoever designed this never searched for a rental! Extremely hard to use, can’t find locations in areas other than around me! Need a training class to learn how to use this app
Frustrated
The new update doesn’t allow me to sign in. So when you go to do the pick up through your phone, it does not work. So it’s a waste of time to download this app.
Crashes, too much upselling
Crashed back to the main screen halfway through a reservation. Wouldn't let me reset my password due to a 403 error and wouldn't let me create a new account due to a web submission error. Ditched the app and went to the website and it worked fine but totally aggravated with 48 screens of up selling addons. All I want is a stupid trailer and it takes an act of Congress to reserve it.

Horrible App
App won’t even log you in. Just gets an error when trying to login. Needs updating ASAP. Don’t even bother downloading, just use the website.
Scam
Do not ever purcase ubox insurance. Movers damaged my tv and repwest wont do anything
Monetize your own time
With the new update, there’s no way to see past orders and simple re-order anymore. I only rent one type of trailer occasionally, and now with each reservation I need to answer 365 questions again about do I need the loading help or packaging materials. Been renting dozens of times, never needed it, why ask me again?

I used the app for a month. After that, it kicked me out and I can’t log back in. I went back to the U-Haul store and they told me that the app is not working either for them so I have it?

Jireh Rafa moving helpers
We used the moving company Jireh Rafa for help moving from my storage unit to our house. Jireh Rafa is made up of two men who have known each other for 15 plus years. Oscar and Roger work together so well moving boxes and shelving units and little things here and there, everything. They can practically finish each others sentences. They are humble people. They work hard and hardly want to take a break. They were masters at loading everything and then unloading. I think they must love Tetris. If you need help with moving, these two guys are the ones. The company name is Jireh Rafa. Give them a try. You will be amazed at their strength, professionalism and their kindness. I couldn’t be happier with their work. It was worth every penny.
