Good when it works
TLDR: Be warned, their support policies when things go wrong are horrendous, especially if you’re expecting them to be helpful, be on your side and be forthcoming when you’re stuck far from home.
When the alignment of the car working, the owner automating the process and the base price and per km price align it all works out - 4.5 stars all the way.
When the car is listed as available, you go to the pick up location and the car is actually not available? Or the owner has a plan for it on the second day, even though it showed available? Annoying, but can be rectified, customer service will refund your booking amount, you’re on your own to book something else, along with your time and transportation to get there.. 3.5 stars.
On a longer trip and the car breaks down 3hrs from home? Uber will offer you platitudes, but no actual help. You’ll be stranded on the road for hours because they’re experiencing a high volume, offer you a maximum of $200 to figure it out - train or taxi, and say they want to charge you for the kms that the car has driven so far - 2 stars, because the app works well.
We’ve experienced all the above while using this app. When it works, is not a motto to go by when on a longer trip. Better to go with a rental car company.

Mixed blessings
The second issue I had with this app was the return buttion don’t always work. I took the second car back 19:30 and next day woke up to a late fine.
On to the positives now. Only go with those who have reviews and have a set number. 15 or more is a good number. I feel this is a good idea and would consider renting my car on here. It was a fairly easy app to use and many use lock boxes so the is no contact. Other owners prefer to hand you the keys. The car I rented was a friend of the woman I’m staying with.

I found the app easy to set up and the range of vehicles available was great, unfortunately because I left it til the last minute I had to get what was left.
I found a VW Golf, I thought it was a bit much for what I wanted but went for it anyway.
The car wasn’t available for the time I booked it for as there was an issue with the app,so Noel said. Booked for 13:30 actually picked up after 17:00hrs. No sooner the other guy got out the car I was in after all the checks. I found the car very untidy inside and out. I was a bugger to start first thing but afterwards ok. Less than a quarter of a tank of fuel.i took the car to my son’s home and cleaned it inside and out.
The car itself was a joy to drive and handle very well, it’s such a shame that it was in the state it was as it would have been a better experience throughout.
